Michael took a small step out from the building, his old, rusted converse were instantly met with the concrete pavement. A cold sensation was rushed up the pale boy's back as his warm body was met with the icy England air and He watched as his small breathes turned into visible air.

The lilac boy was slightly terrified of everything that was going on around him. With the load beeping of the cars in the street, and the obnoxious screaming of children and teenagers around them.

Michael took a step closer to the taller male as they passed unfamiliar faces. If
a person would stare at Michael longer than three seconds, the small boy would instantly go into panic mode and hide hide his small figure  behind the blond man. He looked like  a lost kitten, begging to be taken under his mother's arms and be protected from the harsh world. And since Michael didn't have a mother anymore, Luke was his next option.

The pairing soon ended up calling a taxi cab, telling the man where they wanted to go, before taking of to their destination.

"L-luke?" The boy with lilac hair asked merely as he sat next to Luke in the moving vehicle.

"Yes," Luke answered as he looked at Michael's back of the head, Michael was to busy looking out the window nervously to be staring at luke.

"Nothing." Michael turned around and looked at luke," I just wanted to know that you were still here and hadn't left me,"

"Babe," Luke said as he looked at Michael with broken eyes, "I won't leave you. Look I know we haven't know each other that long, but I care for you,"

"Thank you," Michael looked down at his lap. Luke sighed and pulled Michael's head up so they were staring at each other, "You're welcome," a big smile grew on Michael's lips. And this time, it was a real smile.

"I'll take a vanilla ice cream and he'll take a..." Luke looked at Michael for an answer, "I-I'll take a um... Strawberry ice cream, p-please,"

The lady behind the cash register smiled down at the small boy. It seemed that everyone was taller than Michael no matter what, he was just a small kitten everyone would look down at.

As the pairing sat outside eating their ice creams in comfortable silence, laughter was heard from behind them. The laughter was loud and full of mockery, and Michael could have sworn those laughs were too familiar.

He turned around to see who was producing those laughs. "Oh n-no," his eyes widen as his eyes were locked with a group of faces that he definitely  didn't want to see.

"Is that the little faggot from school?" A familiar voice asked the group.

"Mikey, who are they?" The blonde asked as he nudged at the group of teens behind  him. Michael let his head drop as he let his bottom lip fall into a pout.

"I don't know..." Michael said.

"Michale they are pointing right at you," Luke said in a worry tone. "Who are they?"

"Well..." Michael trailed off, " back when i was still in school i didn't have any friends. No one talked to me. No one got near me. But they talked behind my back all the time, sometimes they would try to hide it but they would  practically scream at lunch how much of a freak i was,"

"Oh, babe." Luke face dropped as he looked at the pouting boy."don't listen to them, they are just stupid. You are not a freak. You are anything from that, you are unique." Michael smiled up at luke, but it soon turned into a frown when the laughter continued.

Luke saw this and gave Michael a sympathetic smile," Do you want to go somewhere else to eat your ice cream"

Michael shrugged. He didn't want to stay inside there with all those people making fun of him, but he also didn't want to go eat his icy treat in the cold.

"We can just go back to the hospital if you want..." Luke said.

Before Michael could answer the group of teens came up behind them. And A girl with dark brown hair decided to sit across from Luke and Michael. "Oh, hello, Mitchell," she greeted.

"I-its M-Michael," Michael corrected.

"whatever," she scoffed, "so where have you been? Haven't seen you around school in a while. Not that I'm Complaining. Can't really say I wasn't glad to not see your tranny ass in the halls everyday,"

Michael looked down with hurt eyes and started playing with his painted black nails. "I-I was s-sick"

The girl let out an obnoxious laugh. "For four months?"

"Yes, and I'm still sick," Michael looked up and his green eyes were met with the Bitchy girl's dull brown ones.

"Well, um...it was nice meeting you, but we have to get going," Luke said, interrupting their  awkward stare off.

Luke grabbed Michael's arm, and before he could pull him away from the booth, two boys came up behind Michael and poured their melted vanilla treat all over Mikey's lilac wig.

Soon enough, tears started forming in Michaels eyes as they all started laughing. Michael took his arm away from Luke's grasp and ran outside. He was to embarrassed to even look at the blonde at that moment.

He just wanted one day, one day that wasn't shit. One day he could remember for the rest of his life, and not feel pity for himself.

Maybe one day that day will come...
