"Ibaba ang tuition fee!"

"Mga corrupt kayo!

"Bumaba ka na sa pwesto, Gob!"

Nagising ako sa malakas na sigawan.

Sinilip ko ang bintana ng aking kwarto. Kaya naman pala maingay, nandito nanaman ang mga raliyista sa tapat ng bahay namin at nanggagambala. Well, hindi na ito bago sa akin pero hindi ibig sabihin ay sanay na ako!

I prepared myself and went down. I saw my parents at the living room talking to some government officials.

"Morning, Mom!" I kissed her cheeks.

Hindi na ko lumapit kay Dad dahil busy siya sa kausap niya.

"Good Morning, son! Follow me and let me prepare your breakfast"

"Is there any problem? Why are there people outside?" I asked as I sit on the stool. Mom's cooking pancake.

"Don't mind it. Hindi mo dapat problemahin yun, Thomas." She flipped the pancake and gahd it smells like heaven.

"Ma paano ako lalabas to attend school later if they're blocking our way? It's also my problem."

"Kakausapin na sila ng Dad mo mamaya, don't worry." She placed two pancakes on my plate and sat next to me.

"Ma, until when are we going to suffer from this? Can't we just live a normal life?" I asked sounding frustrated.

"This is your father's passion. He always dreamt of serving the nation and nothing can stop him; not me, not even you."

It's true. I was born as the Mayor's son, now that I'm in college he's still serving the country as the Governor. Buong buhay ko pakiramdam ko ay wala ako naging totoong kaibigan. People only wanted to be close to me because I am a Torres and not bcause they really like me. It's the same reason why I never had a girlfriend. Gusto ko munang gumawa ng pangalan para sa sarili ko bago ko yun isipin para may maipagmamalaki na ako sa babaeng mamahalin ko at hindi laging nakakapit sa pamilya ko.

After eating I went back to my room first at turned on my T.V. I'm in the middle of watching a love scene when a news flash appeared on the screen.

"Kakadating lang na balita mga kababayan. May isang grupo ng mga estudyante ang nagrarally sa tapat ng bahay ni Governor Rino Torres. Ayon sa kanilang lider ay ipinaglalaban nila ang mababang halaga ng edukasyon. Kamakailan kasi ay ipinasa ng Gobernador ang isang ordinansa na dagdagan ng 50 piso ang tuition fee sa UAAP State University. Narito ang pahayag ng kanilang pinuno."
