I ran outside, following the path of destruction that ran out into the hallway and upwards. I wasn't surprised when I got to the main (front) entrance to see Natasha, Sharon, Tony and.. T'Challa? Okay so I was slightly surprised at his presence but I rushed to their aid when I saw Natasha holding her neck, Sharon her back and Stark just standing there like an idiot.
"What happened?"
"Your boyfriend is what happened."
"Not my boyfriend. Which way did he go?" I helped Sharon up who waved me off and started talking to the voices in her ear."I'm not telling you that."
"Stark..."
"This means war, Olivia. War. Do you really want that?" I walked up to him and stood facing up directly, lifting myself up telekinetically so I was staring at him face to face."I honestly don't give a single shit, Stark. He's my friend."
"Weren't we all?" I froze, not knowing how to respond."Yeah. Yeah, you were but not like Bucky is." Pushing away, I looked into my friends minds and was able to piece a fractured image of where Bucky went, the clearest coming from T'Challa who, if looks could kill, would've ripped my throat out
"Easy, tiger." I growled as I walked past, knowing I could've easily teleported but I couldn't if I didn't know where I was going, especially
when I had no idea where idea where Sam and Steve were."It's a panther."
"Bite me." I pushed the door open and stepped into the crisp air, going left, hoping that's where they had gone. For thirty minutes I ran around town, looking in every odd place, including inside a port-a-loo (which stunk like hell) for them but they were no where to be seen.
I sat down on a park bench as huffed, watching kids play and pets run loose. A dog came up to me at some point and I scratched her head and frowned.
"I'm going to get a dog. A fast dog. And name it Charles." I spoke aloud and the dog just looked up at me with big brown eyes. She ended up leaving me when her name, Carter, got called.
"You know, sitting here is pointless." An accent that sounded oh so familiar twanged behind me. I turned around and my frown frowned.
"Who the hell are you?" The Psychologist that had been in the room with Bucky was standing behind me, cradling his arm.
"You aren't a psychologist are you?" I tried again.
"I'm whatever what I need to be." I scoffed and turned away, looking over the park.
"You are looking for the winter solider and the Captain aren't you?"
"Yep."
"I can tell you where they are."
"For...?" The man sat down and cast me a look. He rolled his eyes."Nothing. I will tell you out of the kindness of my heart."
"Something tells me you have no kindness." He shrugged and stood up. I froze him in his place and saw him manage a smirk."Sokovia. You were from Sokovia."
"Correct, Miss Stone."
"What's your name?"
"Not your concern." I frowned and pushed on his mind but was met with a block. You don't know where my friends are and you aren't a psychologist. I said, trying to see if he heard me. He smiled and I released him.
"Thank you for your time, Miss Stone." He turned away, taking his thoughts with him. I knew he didn't know where Steve had gone but I couldn't help but feel like he did know.
I got up from my bench and began to walk through the crowds, heading towards an old but abandoned factory that stood adjacent and just outside the city. My mind wasn't in my feet so I just went in that direction.
The thing is, when my mind is else where I am completely unaware of my surroundings.
Which isn't always the best. But then again, when you have powers it helps but...
"Hey doll." I froze in one place and looked around, seeing one person with the crotch of his pants around his knees. I grimaced and walked towards the entrance of the warehouse but was stopped but a tug of my shirt.
"I didn't say you could ignore me."
"Don't freaking care." I whipped around and chopped at his arm, kicking him in the nuts (hehe) and got into a defensive stance as he kneeled over, face going bright red from the pain."Bitch." He spat, holding his preciousness and seemed to sink further into the ground in pain.
"Asshole." I socked him in the jaw and scoffed as he hit his head on the ground, falling into a state of unconsciousness.
"Now this is why you don't mess with a girl who survived World War Two." I sighed and walked away from the (unfortunately) still breathing body. That guy was a) gross b)far to young and c) did I mention gross?
I turned around and look at the body and a surprising chill went up my spine. The body was gone and my breath hitched in my throat.
"Hello?" I could hear the kids playing in the park. There was no one there except me and a feeling that I was being watched.
"Liv?" I screamed when I heard my name and turned away, throwing a dustbin that was laying uselessly around.
"Liv! It's just me!" Steve, who had ducked behind the door, came up to me and grabbed my arms, shaking me.
"Holy crap." I looked up at his face and wrenched my arms from his grip and wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. I felt him hesitantly hug me back, but when he realised I was shaking, he pulled me into a tighter hug
"There was a person there and then he was gone."
"Liv..."
"Call me insane and I will hurt you." Steve shook his head and released me from the hug and grabbed my hand, pulling me into the building."We found Bucky. Or I knocked him out and we got him here." I felt my face drop and my mouth open.
"You didn't think to call me?"
"Olivia..."
"Where is he? Is he okay? Is he awake?"
"He's asking for you." I almost forgot the feeling that I was being watched and motioned to Steve, flapping my hands wildly."What are you waiting for? If he wants to talk to me and I want to see him, take me forth." Steve rolled his eyes and moved further into the building, away from the entrance and away from anything or anyone who was out there.
