3rd POV (this is what it's going to be like from now on until I say so aka ye epilogue so hush)
Olivia woke up to her head being strapped tightly to a chair. It wasn't a pleasant experience to feel a leather strap being pulled tightly against your forehead. Olivia wasn't an exception to the rule.
"I did some research and found that most of the time, people who have this unique ability, are able to be, in some way or another, be restricted from moving in some way." Olivia tried to manoeuvre herself but it appeared her arms and legs were tied down in a similar fashion to her head.
"Well congrats. What do you want, a gold star?"
"I want the Avengers to fall." Olivia scoffed and rolled her eyes."Mate, you framed Bucky, tore us apart and now half my friends are in a floating prison called the Raft probably. Is that not good enough for you?" Zemo laughed and Olivia flinched when he did so.
"Miss Stone, I want blood. You remember Sokovia? The city that rose then fell?" Olivia didn't answer but she could see somehow that this was revenge. Also, this conversation seemed I have a hint of deja vu.
"Wait you didn't knock me out with chloroform did you?" She queried. "Because I feel like we already have this conversation." Zemo scowled, as though he had foiled his plans.
"Very good, Olivia. For someone who had just been knocked out with a very strong form of chloroform, you have a good memory."
"So it was chloroform?"
"My own concoction." Olivia paused before nodding, pieces of her memory coming back."Wait where are we?"
"In the Winter Soldiers old home." For the life of her, she couldn't remember the name of the place."What are we doing here?"
"Well, I need to go kill some people and then watch you hurt." The almost malicious grin on his face didn't fit there. "So get comfortable, Miss Stone. We need to wait for Captain Rogers and Bucky." He walked off, leaving Olivia to struggle with her bonds."Get back here Zemo! I'm not done with you!" She yelled, hair getting in her mouth as she tried to fight against what was holding her down. She spat her hair out and she tried to teleport. But it seemed that was out of whack. A sense of wooziness washed over her and she flickered but didn't move.
Turning her head slightly and looking down, she could see a thin, clear line disappear into her arm with a pink tinted liquid glowing and entering into her arm.
The more she tried to fight it, the more woozy she felt and the closer she came to the brink of unconsciousness.
She tried for ages. She began to feel the effects of the liquid as she tried each time. It made her tired. It made her want to sleep.
I can't give in.
The more Olivia lay there and thought, the more she realised.
He blew it up, he set Bucky free. He framed Bucky, he destroys the Avengers. But what did he want from Bucky that had been so important that he had to re-brainwash him?
Olivia tried. She knew she knew what she needed to know.
December 16, 1991. It came to her quickly. It wasn't there, then it was. Stamped all over her brain to remind her. Cursing, Olivia slowly unravelled the mystery that lay before her.
The last thing Olivia saw after trying to get out, was a single gun shot. Right when she had it figured out. Almost figured out his next move.
**************
Steve didn't realise Olivia hadn't followed them into battle the minute Stark flew into him. The minute Wanda got hurt. The minute Bucky began to panic. It seemed that the glue holding everyone together and dropped out with no one realising.
"She's gone, Steve. She had her own mission." Natasha stood across from him, widows bite ready to fire. Bucky was tensed up and the red head just rolled her eyes.
"She wouldn't abandon us."
"Then you don't know her that well, do you?" Steve clenched his muscles, ready for a fight."I know well enough that Liv wouldn't leave without setting up some kind of safe guard." Bucky said softly, avoiding the assassins gaze. Natasha smiled and nodded her head.
"You're right. She wouldn't. And she didn't." Natasha moved her had and let loose one of her painful and lethal stings. Steve ducked behind his shield to prevent the sting from getting him.
"She reminded me that I owed her. Reminded me that you were stubborn and that you were going to stop at nothing to go after the bastard who set Barnes up. So I'm stopping Cat-boy here and you're going to follow her orders." Steve looked up to find Natasha had moved her wrist and had fired at T'Challa, the electricity that shot through him doing nothing but slowing him down a little bit.
"You'll be trialled as a traitor."
"Nothing I haven't faced before." She shrugged and tossed her hair behind her shoulder and firing another of her painful Widows Bite into T'Challas suit."Thank you." Steve said before running into the jet, Bucky nodding in the assassins direction and followed Steve.
Okay so I know the chappies has been short but the next one won't be. I promise.
Big plans.
