"Harry-" I start.
"No! Stop Alex! Just fucking stop!" Harry pulls the ends of his hair and closes his eyes.
"I'm sorry I don't know-" He cuts me off again.
"Fuck!" Harry practically screams down the hall. He leans his back up against the wall and slides down to the floor, still not looking at me. He hides his face in his hands.
"I'm sorry." I blurt before he is able to cut me off again.
Harry doesn't move or say anything, so I move to sit beside him. I place my hand on his arm but he shrugs me off.
"Don't touch me." Harry barks and I remove my hand.
I feel awful. I don't know why I wanted to kiss Asher, or even if I did, but I do know I never want to see Harry like this again. He's so closed off and angry, and honestly he is scaring me. I don't know what to say and my words are failing me.
"Who is he?" Harry is calmer than before but there is still evident anger in his words.
"My ex-boyfriend." I barely let out a whisper.
Harry's dark eyes meet mine.
"Do you not want me anymore? Did you ever?"
"Of course I want you. You should know that by now."
"Should I?" He whispers.
"Yes. I don't know what that was, but I do know it means nothing. Nothing compared to you." I say and am thankful he lets me finish.
Does it mean nothing?
"You let him, Alex. You let him kiss you, and you didn't even think twice about it." Harry looks directly infront of him not meeting my gaze.
"I don't know what happened, Harry. Believe me. It was a mistake, I see that now."
"You fucking kissed him." Harry murmurs more to himself than me.
"What do you want me to do?" I plead.
"Not go around throwing yourself at other guys."
Ouch. His words hurt but I know it's only because he is hurt himself.
"I know." Is all I respond, trying to let his words not effect me.
"It's wrong. Really fucking wrong, and you would lose your mind if you saw me kissing someone else."
"I know."
Before Harry can continue his assault with words, a door opens down the hallway and a young woman with two kids walks out.
I stand up quickly as she turns to look at us, Harry doing the same. I haven't met the woman yet but her warm smile lets me know I should. As she walks past us with her two boys following, they look back at Harry. Probably taking in his mass of tattoos I'm sure. They are young probably only around 5, and I'm surprised I haven't seen them before.
When the elevator doors close leaving me and Harry once again alone, I open the door to my appartment.
"Continue." I murmur as the door shuts behind me.
"I don't have anything else to say, Alex." Harry turns around to look at me.
I nod but don't say anything.
"That's the guy from the party right?" Harry asks contradicting his words.
"Yes." I breathe.
"I thought so. You guys look good together." Harry snaps.
