"What...Jamie what...what is wrong with me!" I ask getting inside the car, tears still streaming down my face.
"Alex. What happened?" Jamie looks over at me concern marking her features.
"This guy...I met this guy and we were dancing..." I spoke trying to stop the tears.
"The one with tattoos? Yeah I think I saw that." Surprise laced in her tone.
"Yeah, well...I mean...I was wasted and we went upstairs-"
"WAIT. WHAT? YOU WENT UPSTAIRS?" Her voice sounding very loud in the small car.
"Yeah...and we were gonna...oh my god...we were gonna have sex...and then Asher..." I stopped letting the sobs take over once more.
"Then Asher what?" Jamie asked.
"He came...he came in the room...and he saw me and Harry and he...he threw the condom on the bed...and told me I wasn't...wasn't any better than him...and he's right. He's right! I'm no better than him!" I said covering my face as the tears came more freely.
"Wow." Was all Jamie responded. How could I blame her? I was in shock myself.
She didn't say anything on the way back into the city, and neither did I. How could I be so stupid? If Asher wouldn't have walked in, oh my god if he wouldn't have walked in. What the fuck is wrong with me. I decided not to have sex with Asher, my boyfriend of 7 months, but decide to just give myself away to a random guy in one night. I can't even imagine what Jamie now thought of me.
"Will you say something, please?" I ask Jamie.
"I don't, I just don't know what to say, Alex." She responded.
I turned to look out the window once more, there was nothing left to be said.
When we reached my building Jamie didn't say a word as I got out of the car. I walk up the two flights of stairs to my apartment and unlock the door. It takes all I have not to fall on the floor and sleep there but I know that would not feel too good in the morning. However, I don't think I'm going to be feeling good anyways considering the amount of alcohol I consumed tonight. As I read my bed I don't even bother changing my clothes. I take off my shoes and climb under the covers.

I wake up the next morning to the bright light coming in through the window. Damn my head hurts. I was turning over to place the pillow on my when I looked at my clock. 9:30. Shit. Late for class. Who's idea was it to go to a party on a school night anyways.
...the party. Fuck.
I still can’t come to terms with the fact I was going to lose my virginity to a random guy at a party. Who does that? Well, a lot of people but that’s beside the point. I wasn’t that type of person! I hardly went to parties to begin with. I could blame it on the alcohol or the fact I had just broken up with my boyfriend of 7 months but still. I knew what I was getting myself into when I asked him to go upstairs.
Looking at the clock again it was now 9:45.
“Guess I’m not going to class.” I spoke a loud to the room I thought was empty, until a heard a familiar voice answer.
“Well good. Because I wanted to get breakfast with you.” Jamie spoke standing near my room door.
“I don’t remember giving you a key?” I accusingly looked up at my best friend.
“That’s probably because you didn’t.” She answered smiling.
“We need to talk, Alex.” Jamie spoke again before letting me reply.
“I know.” Was all I replied looking down at my bed, tears starting to form.
Jamie came over and sat next to me cross-legged on the bed.
“You know you’re my best friend right?” I looked up at her as she continued. “And you couldn’t do anything to change that, even if you wanted to.” She now smiled at me.
“Now get your sorry ass out of the bed, for the second time.” She started to laugh referring to yesterday when she said the same words.
“Alright, alright!” I laughed while she tried to roll me onto the floor.
“I just have to change, then we can go.” I told her still laughing.
What would I do without her, my best friend.

An hour later Jamie and I sat at the Starbucks on 34th. We hadn’t yet discussed last night and I figured that was coming soon.
"So how drunk we're you last night?" Jamie ask me while sipping her drink.
"Apparently, very drunk. It was so weird. At first I was just dancing with this extremely hot guy, and the next thing I know I'm up stairs about to take my clothes off. But even as I was kissing him in the room, It didn't feel wrong. Actually, it felt extremely right." I had been thinking this for a while now but finally saying it felt good.
Thinking about it now I realize, I hadn't stopped thinking about him.
"Wow. You never thought that about Asher, did you?" Jamie asks amazement in her eyes.
"Never." I answer. "It was the weirdest thing. We exchanged what like two sentences and now I can't stop thinking about him..." What did I just say.
I thought Jamie was going to spit her coffee back into the cup, "What did you just say?" Suprise laced in her tone.
"I can't stop thinking about him."' I whisper even though she heard me the first time. "Just his green eyes, and his curly hair, and his tattoos. My god." I add.
"Well, I've never heard you talk like this before. I'm glad to have you join in finally." Jamie laughs making me smile.
"It's not like anythings gonna happen though. If he's the type of guy that has random sex at parties, would I really want to date him? And I don't even know his last name for heavens sake!" I roll my eyes now realized how stupid I sounded 30 seconds ago.
"You never know, Alex. Love at first sight can be very powerful. And I mean that in more ways then one." Jamie dies laughing me cracking up behind her.
"You're terrible." I say still laughing.
"Don't act like you haven't been thinking about it constantly." Jamie says smirking at me. "Besides, he probably would have been pretty good."
"And with that I'm leaving!" I get up to hug Jamie and she meets me half way.
"Love you, best friend. Call me later!" She says pulling away from the hug.
"Love you, Jamie. I will." I smile as we walk back into the parking lot. Jamie gets into her car as I walk down the street back to my apartment.
