"And just like that, you were gone."

~~~CELIA never liked Cassie.
In fact she was jealous of her but they were best friend and as they grew closer Celia saw the side of Cassie that she never showed anyone. She saw her dominant side, her fearless side, her 'pretty' side, in Celia's words. That's what scared her, Celia always knew that Cassandra will always be better, even when she doesn't flaunt it.
That's when it began to spiral out of control, well to Celia but not to Cassie. Cassie didn't even realise that all this time it was Celia's fault, all those little things that built up to the huge revenge.
And he loved her. Celia envied their relationship, she wanted someone to love her but she had a reputation of easy and slutty. Even her own 'best friend' began to stop hanging around her, hanging around her boyfriend more.
Celia was furious and did the worse. She did what no best friend would ever done to their best friend. However they were never best friend and Cassie knew deep down that was true, she just never wanted to admit it. Celia did what Cassie thought she's never do. And it broke them, it broke Cassie much more than Celia. It ruined Cassie's reputation, it ruined her life.
But now she's back and thirsty for revenge, and she going to get it.
One way or another.
Maybe it was the fact that he was a boy that made Cassie's heart quicken whenever she saw him. Maybe it was because he paid attention to her and only her. Maybe it was because he was Scott and he didn't listen to rumours and wanted to discover Cassie's story himself, not that he'll find out.
Something about Scott made Cassie want to hang around him and become his friend. As she parked up in front of the beach and trekked through the sand towards the cave, Cassie began to have second thoughts. She hesitantly stood in front of he entrance of the cave, a cold draft breezing through her hair.
"Cass?" Her posture stiffened as she turned around, facing the boy with the lip piercing, which was oh-so-sexy.
"Hey." She suddenly felt vulnerable and shy, tucking her hair behind her ear.
"Did you just come now?" He asked, a teasing grin playing on his lips.
She gave him a bashful smile. "Maybe?"
A grin exploded onto his face. "You should smile more often."
Her smile faded away as quickly as possible and she turned away from him, ashamed.
"Hey," His voice coloured with concern. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." She replied, quickly. Scott's finger tilts her chin up so that she can look at him but her emotions was covered, glazed over with a blank stare.
"Cassie?"
She felt bad.
"I'm sorry, Scott."
"Why are you sorry, Cass?" He asked and pulled her into his warm embrace. She rested her head against him chest, hearing his heart beat rhythmically. She blinked away the tears, furiously, before exhaling slowly and softly.
"Don't be sorry, unless you did something really bad. Never be sorry about showing how you feel." Scott whispered, close to her ear, heat rising up on her cheeks. "What happened to you, Cassandra?"
"Not now, Scott." Cassie looked up at him, her hazelnut eyes glimmering. "Too soon."
At a few seconds, he smiled at her softly and tucked a strand of loose hair behind her ear again.
"Got it." He whispered. "Too soon."
