"I broke a million hearts
just for fun."

~~~BY the end of the day, the whole school knew about Ava and Isla's homecoming proposal.
Girls gushed or scowled at them when they walked past and boys just sent them hopeful and lustful looks as if they'd change their mind. Cassie was getting all her things out of her locker, ready to head home when she noticed shouts and murmurs echoing down the hallway. Students began to flood towards the main exit and Cassie stood by her locker with a confused look, wondering what on earth was the fuss. Soon she found her two friends, bouncing towards her with a grin, and she began to feel uneasy.
"What is it?" She hissed, annoyed with their happy mood when she was feeling anything but. Ava and Isla sent each secretive looks before grabbing onto Cassandra's hand and dragging her to where the crowd was. Pushing past the crowd, getting a few glares and shouts, Cassie still didn't understand the fuss until-
Oh my fucking God.
There, in front of the crowd, was Scott standing on top of Lewis' truck, a bouquet of roses in his hands, with jocks surrounding the truck, all holding a letter to form the sentence 'WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME, CASSIE?'
She gaped at them, her jaw practically falling so low that it might hit the ground. Scott met her eyes and smirked, wiggling his eyebrows as he jumped down from the truck and walked towards her. Somehow, she found herself in the centre of all this commotion, the crowd dispersed around her, watching the scene with awe, envy and many other emotions.
Avery and Lewis were leaning against Scott's car as their girls found them, going into their embrace while they watched their friends fall for each other even deeper than where they were right now.
"What's your answer?" Scott murmured, his minty breath fanning over her face, causing her eyes to nearly flutter shut but they'd didn't because they were under the trance of his azure eyes.
"Yes." She whispered that it was almost inaudible.
His eyes widened. "Did you say yes?"
She smirked and rolled her eyes. "Yes. I'll go homecoming with you."
Scott grinned from ear to ear, the type of grin that shows his dimples that Cassie never knew he had until now. She leaned forward and captured his lips with hers, her arms wrapping around his neck and her fingers tugging at the back of his hair. He placed his hands on her waist, the roses still held in one hand, and kissed her back hungrily and lustfully.
The crowd around them hooted and shouted with support and cheers as they pulled away, resting their foreheads against each other. He grinned at her and she allowed her self to give him a small smile that he knew was only reserved for him and no one else.
At that moment, they were happy.
But on the sidelines, someone watched and truth be told, bloodshed was coming soon than expected.
THE next day, everyone was buzzing about Scott's homecoming proposal. Cassie was beaming inside as she finally got her plan to fall in place and the fact that so many girls sent her envious looks was an added bonus. Celia was leaning against her locker with her cronies surrounding her when Cassie sauntered past, sending her a malicious smirk. Clenching her jaw, Celia snarled quietly to herself, wanting blood - Cassie's blood - on her hands.
