:josh:

i climbed out the back door as i slowly grabbed my key off of the table next to the door.

i tried my best to successfully make it over the fence without it squeaking loudly.

after a couple of tries, i threw myself over the fence to walk my way down the street again.

the roads were silent and the streetlights were barely on at all.

"josh?" i got startled after hearing my name called out so i began to walk faster.

"stop speed-walking you prick." that voice sounded like tyler's so i stopped in my tracks and turned around.

"what the hell are you doing out here?"

"to admire the night." tyler said cryptically.

it was us staring at each other, face to face for about a minute until tyler spoke again.

"where are you going?"

"my friend's house, why do you need to know? are you just going to tell on me again?"

"josh, what did i tell you? i'm not doing that ever again. i let my ego get the best of me. just please take me with you."

i rolled my eyes "give me one good reason why."

"i-i don't have a reason. i'm bored, lonely and you're my only friend."

"don't you have a girlfriend?"

"ye- maybe."

"what do you mean by maybe?"

"i don't know but please." tyler begged on his knees.

i spoke up "fine, follow me." i grabbed his hand to help him stand up again as he smiled up at me.

how am i supposed to explain to gerard that i have the boy i keep ranting about just randomly coming to hang out with us.

the silent walk continued until we arrived in his driveway where everyone was.

i saw the bright red head notice me as he gave me another hug "you came!"

"surprise!" i said as i raised my arms up for a hug.

his smile slightly dropped when he saw tyler next to me "find a seat, we're just discussing random shit."

it was the same group of neighbors from earlier around a giant table. there were two open seats for tyler and i but he just sat there awkwardly for the first few minutes.

"so are all of us couples here?" the guy with the forehead that i forget the name of as he was holding the hand of the milk-hating kid.

"i'm the only single one here" i called out.

i looked back at tyler as he was falling asleep and leaning so far back into the chair.

gerard signaled me into the laundry room right next to the basement door.

"is that kid, tyler?"

"yeah, i got forced to bring him here.

he sighed "he has a girlfriend, right?"

"unfortunately but when i asked him again after he left, he said maybe very uncertainly."

"josh, i know how much you like him. i want you two to be together, i want to see you be happy together."

"i still have a crush on him. i wish he didn't have anything close to a girlfriend sometimes."

"i'll talk to him if you would like me to. i believe i'm pretty good with this relationship shit."

"give it a half hour and we're good." i winked as i walked back out to tyler still napping on the chair.

i slightly shook tyler to wake up and he did so immediately.

"tyler, you fell asleep." i whispered to him.

"sorry aha!" he nervously laughed while pushing himself up again.

the conversation was dragging on and on to the point where tyler was even getting involved with some of it.

and there it began.

"tyler, follow me for a minute?"
