CHAPTER 21 The Invitation
KIM JONGIN's POV
"Kai where did you and D.O go yesterday. You rushed out just after our concert ended and you came home late. I asked Suho and manager hyung but they just told me to ask you myself once you return." Sehun asked while we're having coffee
"Don't tell me you went in a date that is why Suho and manager hyung didn't say anything." Tao added as he prepared his own coffee
"Who went in a date?" Chanyeol hyung who just came asked
"Kai and D.O hyung" Tao answered
"What about Kai and D.O" Baekhyun hyung asked as he picked up Chanyeol hyung's cup and sipped from it
"Is that true Kai? Why didn't you invite me?" Lay hyung
"It was date Lay so why would they bring a chaperone." Xiumin hyung
"What's in here, you guys are so loud." Suho hyung
"He's right it's our rest day so I planned on sleeping in but I was awoken with your noise." Kris hyung
"Oh are we supposed to have a meeting?" Chen Hyung
"Meeting, about what?" Luhan hyung
"Why are you all gathered here? Is there something wrong?" Finally the last member to join us, D.O hyung
"Nothing's wrong hyung and there's no meeting either. I was just asking Kai here where you went yesterday as you rushed out after our concert but he's being secretive so can you answer that for me D.O hyung." Sehun explained
"I was not being secretive, you just didn't give me time to answer." I muttered but they ignored me and focused on D.O hyung instead
"Oh I asked permission from manager and Suho hyung though, didn't they inform you?" D.O hyung asked back
"Nope when I asked them they told me to ask you myself."
"So D.O hyung was I right? Did you two go on a date that is why Suho and manager hyung refused to tell us anything?" Tao
"If you consider me asking Kai to accompany me at Ms. L's booksigning event a date then yeah we went to a date."
"Then did you able to get your copy of her book signed?" Suho hyung asked
"Yep hyung"
''Oh so you finally met her. How was she D.O hyung, is she a noona like you percieved?" Sehun
"No. I guess she's around 21-23, so i'm older."
"She's 22" I said
"How do you know?"
"That is because Ms. L was actually that girl whom Kai's mother hired to care for him when he got into an accident six onths ago."
"Seriously? Then that author and your wife is one person? But if that's the case why did you go through the trouble of attending her book signing event when you know her personally, surely there are a lot of people who attended and calling her for a private meeting is much more practical and easier. You didn't have to worry from being recognized and mobbed." Baekhyun hyung queried
"I didn't have any idea that she's Ms. L, I only found out about it last night and she's not my wife."
"Sorry I forgot that she rejected you. Though she's really something for being able to resist your charm." He teased and winked at me.
"Oh come to think of it you're expression today is extra cheerful. Was it because of her?" Sehun
I just looked at Sehun and didn't respond but judging from his expression I think he already knows the answer and is just teasing me.
LEE YEON HA's POV
"Hello" I sleepily answered my phone without bothering to see who's the caller
"Yeon Ha?"
"It's me, who's calling?"
"It's Latrof, I just want to ask if you can come stay with us until the wedding."
"Wedding what wedding?" I mumbled my mind is still not awake yet and all it's thinking of is getting some more sleep
"Yeon Ha!!!! Be serious please"
"Damn it don't shout i'm not deaf." I complained, my system is fully awake now
"I'm sorry, it's just that there's only 10 days left before our big day and--"
"Don't tell me you're thinking of cancelling your wedding, if that's the reason why you called then i'm sorry Latrof but I won't help you ran away from your bride. You should man up and take responsibility--"
"Yeon Ha i'm not thinking of running away." he said cutting me off too
"Then why did you call and disturb my beauty sleep?"
"I just wanted to ask if you could come stay with us until the big day, that is if you're not busy. Plus you're part of the entourage."
"I'm part of the what!?"
"You're one of her chosen bridesmaids, haven't you seen it? I've sent you an invition card."
"I haven't checked any of my mails this month because i've been busy. Anyways i'll just message you later if I can accept your request about me staying there."
"Okay, thank you Yeon Ha."
"Bye then." I said and ended the call. Now it's time to meet up with my manager and ask if it's okay for me to be away for a while.
