The takeout arrived soon after Vincent placed the order. The box was barely handed to you before you opened the lid to take your first bite. Nothing could ever top General Tso chicken after a long day. Not to mention the crab Rangoons. You savored every bite.

Vincent came back from the kitchen with two wine glasses, and a bottle of red wine. You muttered a thank you in between bites. You were on cloud nine. Takeout, red wine, and a handsome man pouring it for you. No worries in sight. As you both ate and sipped, conversation flowed seamlessly between you.

"So, do you normally work nights?" You asked Vincent, noticing he was still in uniform.

"Huh? Oh, yeah. They finally hired another guy for that shift though. Thank god."

"Night shifts are tough. Getting off at six in the morning too? Yuck." You took another sip of your wine, finishing the glass.

"That's not even the worst of it." Vincent replied, refilling your glass. You eyed the security badge still clipped to his chest.

"Freddy's huh?" Vincent looked at you with his eyebrows furrowed.

"How did you know that?" He asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

"Your badge," you said pointing to your chest. "Don't worry. I didn't stalk you online. Yet." You joked. Vincent looked down at his chest and sighed. He unclipped the badge from his chest and set it on the coffee table. His worry was quickly replaced with a smile.

"I try to stay off the internet. So even if you did look, there wouldn't be much to find." He said, pouring you both another glass. You didn't even realize that you had drank the last one he poured. You set the glass down to slow yourself down.

"Touché," you replied. "Either way, it sounds like you need this wine night more than I did." You said, noticing your ears were starting to become warm. Vincent sipped his glass, and nodded a response. He smacked his lips together, setting his glass down.

"Sorry this wine is kind of ass. I thought it would taste better." He said picking up the bottle to examine it. You laughed and placed your hand on his leg. His eyes shift to your hand and then to you. Normally you'd pull your hand back, but you were tipsy enough not to care.

"This is fine wine. It gets the job done." You said, picking up the glass, drinking it all in one go. Vincent's eyes were wide as he watched in amazement. He chuckled and finished his glass the same way. He stuck his tounge out after he got it all down. "Yucky." He mumbled, causing you to have a good laugh.

"It's hot in here." You announced, slipping your hoodie off. Leaving you in a tank top. Vincent's eyes scanned over you quickly. Suddenly, his eyes stopped in one place. He softly grabbed your arm and pulled it closer to him, causing you to lean closer. At first you were flustered by his boldness, but after seeing his anger expression you had a sense of dread.

"He bruised you?" He said as he looked at your other arm. You looked down and noticed the two large bruises on your arms starting to form. You pulled your arms back and covered them with your hands.

"It's nothing. I bruise easy anyway it's not-"

"That bastard! I should've killed him when I saw him." Vincent said angrily. He started to stand, but you grabbed his shirt and pulled him back down.

"Vince, it's ok."

"No, it's not! This is-" you put your finger on his mouth to shush him. His eyebrows furrowed as he softly removed your hand. "What?" He said sternly.

"You already hit his ego. Twice. That'll hurt him more than this bruise. He won't be able to handle knowing that I'm with someone..." you paused for a moment looking Vincent up and down. You felt the wine start to hit. "Stronger, braver, handsomer." You continued, your words slurring a bit.

"I don't think handsomer is a word."

"He's scared of you, is what I'm saying."

"He should be scared." Vincent said looking away from you. You leaned closer to him, partly because you were starting to get the leans from drinking.

"Should I be scared?" You whispered to him. He turned back to you, his eyes softened. There was a moment of silence before he answered.

"Probably." He whispered back. There was a hint of seriousness in it that sent a chill down your spine, but the heat from the wine made it easy to ignore. The room was quiet for a moment, before you gave him a small giggle. You were about an inch away from each other, both feeling the tension between you. His eyes darted between yours and your lips. Using your liquid courage, you closed the gap. You softly kissed his lips, letting the sensation fuel your whole body. He returned the kiss, but with a fiery desire. You softly hummed as you got closer to him. Vincent's hand slowly touched your face, caressing your cheek. The other finding its way into your hair.

You found your way on top of him, the kiss becoming more passionate. Your soft hums were met with soft growls from him, only breaking to take a quick breath. Your hand rubbed his chest, and fiddled with the buttons on his shirt. After getting the first few undone, Vincent finally away.

"Hey, hey, hey..." he said out of breath. His hands held yours, stopping you from undoing the next button. "You are," he paused and took a few breaths. "Very sexy. But we can't do this." Your face became hot with embarrassment. You opened your mouth but no words came out.

"I can't have our first time while you're drunk. It's not right."

"I'm not that drunk." You said slowly, trying to keep your words from slurring. Vincent softly smiled and kissed your nose.

"Yes you are darling. I don't want you to regret something in the morning." You buried your face in his chest to keep him from seeing how embarrassed you were, but you were sure he could feel the heat radiating off your cheeks.

"Sorry." You muttered as you fully laid on him. You felt his chest move when he laughed as he pet your hair.

"Don't be sorry. You'll be thanking me in the morning."

You grunted a response, but the moment you had gotten comfortable you felt yourself drifting to sleep. The warmth of his hands around you were like lavender soothing you to sleep.
