Alices' POV

Alice couldn't get rid of the smile that was plastered to her face. She knew that it was just a dream but it had been awhile since someone that...delectable had played the leading role. It felt so real, like whoever that guy was actually existed out there somewhere. She laughed at herself. It was just a dream! What did she expect; to look out the window and see him standing there with roses? Oh yeah! That'll happen...never. She blushed as she remembered how his touch felt on her skin. Warm, soft, strong, gentle, hesitant. A guy being hesitant was new, they usually just took what they wanted. Deciding that she needed fresh air to clear her head, Alice dragged herself out of bed and into the shower. She turned the faucet to cold, to help hasten the head clearing process. After about twenty minutes washing her hair and body, she got out and went to the closet, looking for an outfit. She threw all her dresses out of the way. It was a night to run. Running always helped clear her head. She grabbed her white cotton jacket and her black sweat pants and grabbed her black DCs. She walked to the fridge to get a bottle of water and then ran out the door.

The night was full of energy. She felt like something was going to happen tonight and the part of her that craved the touch of a dream-the crazy, irrational part- wanted to be in the middle of whatever was about to go down. She ran at full speed until she couldn't breathe. She doubled over, hands on her knees. Just as she was about to start running again she heard a little kid scream. At first Alice thought it was just the scream of a child playing but then the child screamed," Help! Somebody, help!"

Alice was a brave person, she liked to help people. So when the kid cried out she ran in the direction of the sound. Alice skidded to a stop at the mouth of an alley. At the end of the alley, a boy was cowering from a dog. Alice walked cautiously down the side of the alley. She was just gonna grab the kid and run but then the dog turned on her. It was a massive beast, black as night. Foam and blood poured from its mouth and it looked hungry for more, for hers. Alice yelled to the scared little kid,"When the dog lunges for me, you run really fast, okay?!"

Alice heard the boy get up slowly. The dog growled at him and was about to lunge when Alice yelled,"Over here mutt! Come get me!" The dog turned on Alice, eyes crazed and teeth bared. Alice yelled at the boy to run and stared down the beast. Her last thought before the dog leapt at her was: Shit, I'm gonna die. Then he was on top of her, salivating and growling. Alice struggled underneath him trying to get away but he was too heavy. She kicked the dog in the stomach but he was too far gone to care. He bit her in the face twice and she lost consciousness as the blood trickled onto her lips.

Williams POV

William was panicking. That was weird; he didn't panic. It hit him like a truck. Alice was panicking That was weird too. Alice wasn't panicky unless she was hurt. He was out the door without a second thought. He couldn't believe he'd left her unsupervised but he figured he could drink a couple more ounces of blood while she was safe in her bed. He ran faster, afraid because he could no longer feel her panic. He pushed people out of the way, hissing at them if they yelled at him.

William stopped in his tracks as his head snapped up. Blood! He ran in the direction of the salty scent. Blood and sweat. Mixed with...wet dog. He followed the scent into an alley. The sight he saw enraged him. A mongrel mutt was on top of Alice, canines sinking into her flesh. William felt anger consumer him, fire in his veins. He roared and rushed at the animal. He threw it into a nearby wall and hissed at it. The animal cowered. William wanted to kill it but Alice loved animal so he pulled out his phone.

"Hey boss I have a potential Hellhound for you. It attacked my Person. She loves animals so I don't wanna kill it but you better get it the hell away from me. Bring me a car too, please." His boss grunted into the phone and William hung up.

William ran over to Alice. He had to hold his breath so he wouldn't drink her blood. He could hear her heart beating and almost wept with relief. If she had died...he couldn't finish the thought.

When the car arrived he picked her up and put her in the backseat. He drove her to the hospital and stayed by her side all night. Screw the laws, he wouldn't leave his Alice.
