Alice's POV

Alice whimpered in Will's arms as he carried her home. He was in pain. He needed to put her down and go drink some blood. She knew he wouldn't though, not this soon after the fight, not while she was still trying to adjust to being a wolf and didn't know how to become human again. How was she going to change back? How did this work? Would it hurt like this every time she changed? Did the rabid dog bite make her this way? That seemed impossible. This couldn't just be the result of some medication-resistant form  of rabies, could it? No, surely not.

Alice looked up at Will. How could he still love her?! How was she not alone right now, with nothing but memories of his kiss, his touch? Maybe it was because he was a vampire, a creature of the night. He knew how it felt to kill, to decide whose life was snuffed out like a candle.  He was a magazine specimen. Strong and funny and so handsome that she longed to kiss him. Right here. Right now. Alice huffed in frustration and yipped at Will.

Will looked down at her, tired smile trying to mask his pain and worry. "You did beautifully, my love. I'm so proud of you. You really held your own. In truth, you devoured that bastard. I'm sorry I put us in that situation.. I thought my boss could help us. I was wrong."

Alice couldn't take it anymore and licked his cheek. Will laughed, sending vibrations through them both.  Alice kept licking Will's face as he walked snd he kept laughing. He whispered,"I would bury my face in your fur but you're all bloody.  Normally, I'd be all over that but it's probably all matted in your fur. I just wanna get you home and give you a bath. After your bath, we'll sleep. I'll be right there, holding you."

Alice's heart sang with the promise of his care and attention.  Will whispered,"I can hear your heart beating. Calm down. I don't want to have to take you to the vet."

Alice stopped licking his face and growled at him. 

The vet?! I'm human, not a dog! Well..I'm kinda human. I think.. Am I human still?

The growl turned into a whine. Will looked at her in confusion and held her close. He murmured,"I know you're confused. It's okay baby I'm here."

It took twenty minutes for them to get back to Alice's room.  Alice smelled strong indecision coming from Will. She cocked her head to the side and studied him. He put her on the floor and looked at her, eyes glowing,"Attack me."

Alice's tail went between her legs.

I don't want to. I could kill you.

Will sighed,"You did great tonight Alice but you were clumsy and had  slow reaction time. I need to know you can defend yourself properly. Now, show me!"

No.

Will shoved her and roared,"SHOW ME!"

Alice growled.  Watch it buddy. These teeth can cut.

Will laughed,"Oh look at the pretty doggie. Pretty doggie's getting mad. I hope she doesn't potty on the floor."

Alice backed up, made herself look submissive and then just as Will was about to taunt her again, she launched herself at him. It felt  She thought she had him but at the last second he sidestepped and she fell in a heap on the floor.

Will knelt in front of her,"You have to be faster."

Without thinking Alice lunged at him all teeth and claws. Will hissed and stiffened. Before Alice knew what was happening, she was on her back. Will was pinning her down.  He was magnificent in his precision. Alice bit his hand, gently at first but then harder when he didn't release his hold on her. He held on and growled,If I were any other vampire, you'd be dead. Bite me like you mean it."

Alice chose to ignore the innuendo of his command and sank her teeth into his arm, hard enough to draw blood. Alice knew she'd hurt Will but he just smiled and let her go. "Good girl. I'm proud of you. Don't take this the wrong way but I want you to change back now.

Alice nodded and headed into the bathroom. She shut the door with her nose so Will couldn't follow and say on her haunches on the bathroom floor. She closed her eyes and tried to find the human inside her.

Paging human Alice. Human Alice to the front desk.

The wolf sitting on the bathroom floor sighed and tried again, this time in an agitated tone.

Will wants to see you. We don't keep our Mate Person waiting. Get your ass in your body.

There seemed to be a whoosh as Alice's human form barreled to the surface at a run and the wolf stepped gracefully back into the vibrant gold light of her soul. I will be here when you call

Alice found herself on the bathroom floor. She stared at her hands, glad to have them again. She felt sticky and shuttered as she remembered the reason for that. She'd hunted in wolf form, killed vampires that had wanted to kill her and maybe Will.

Will. She pushed herself off the floor and flung the bathroom door open. Will's head snapped up as the door hit the wall. He gasped. His eyes took in every inch of her bloody, sweaty, naked form.  Will made a hungry noise in the back of his throat and rushed to her. He gathered her in his arms and kissed her passionately, desire flooding from him.

Alice moaned and wrapped herself around him, vaguely aware she was naked but not caring.  Will pulled back. "Alice...I can smell what you want. Are you sure?  Alice touched his face,"Yes. I'm one hundred percent sure about you. I love you."  Will brought his lips back to hers and without breaking the kiss, carried her to the bed. Will laid her down gently. He kissed her gently on the lips before trailing kisses down the rest of her body. Alice gasped breathlessly and pulled him back to her by his hair. Their lips crashed together  in perfect synchronization.  Alice growled playfully and nipped his earlobe. Will laughed,"If you're this feisty after you've been a wolf...maybe I should let your wolf out more often.

Alice whispered,"I missed you. I missed touching you." Alice ran her hand down Will's chest. She stopped just short of the waistband of his pants. Will looked from her face to her hand and back again,"Are you sure? Last chance to say no.

Alice reached into her bedside table and grabbed a condom. She put it in Will's hand. "You know what to do with that, right?"

Will nodded,"I'll be right back."

Alice nodded. Will kissed her gently and then went into the bathroom.

He was back in a flash. He smiled down at her,"I love you so much. I always have."

Alice smiled,"I love you too."

Will kissed her deeply and stroked her as he entered her. She whimpered softly as she felt him inside her. He whispered,"I'll be gentle." He continued  to kiss her as he moved inside her. Alice dug her nails into his back and bit his lip to keep the noises of pleasure from spilling out. His manly juices poured into her and he pulled out, laying next to her. Alice snugged into him and he wrapped his arms around her. She whispered,"Mine." Will kissed her forehead and replied,"Yours." Alice drifted of to sleep in Will's arms, blissful.
