Alice felt someone watching her and she jerked awake. Frantically, she looked around but no one was there. She laughed at herself for being so afraid. It was probably just a nightmare. Her mom called to her from downstairs,"Alice, your breakfast is getting cold! Hurry up!"

Alice groaned in protest. She hadn't slept well last night-the rain seemed to seep into her unconscious mind, making her dreams into nightmares filled with running and fighting-so she wasn't eager to go down to breakfast and pretend to be fine for her mother.

Alice snuggled deeper into her blankets, not caring about breakfast at the moment. The rain had stopped during the night so she fell asleep easily.

Alice was running from a boy. She was giggling as he ran after her. She squealed in delight as he caught her, his arms around her gentle, warm, and loving. He made himself all backward and they wrested a bit before she pinned him. She growled playfully and kissed his lips, a light peck.

Suddenly it wasn't the boy she knew underneath her anymore but a man with sky blue eyes and black hair. She gasped and tried to get away from the stranger but his gaze kept her where she was. He seemed to radiate peace but also...a longing. A longing for what? For her? That was ridiculous! Impossible! He reached to touch her cheek. She smacked his hand away, "Don't touch me. You're not supposed to be here. You're not...him. Who are you?"

The ,man underneath her smiled,"I am someone who cares for you deeply. I am....the man of your dreams. Pun intended."How could this man know what she dreamt of ? He touched her cheek, this time she was too stunned to slap his hand away.

Alice woke up still feeling the mysterious mans touch, it was warm.

Williams' POV--

After making sure his meal ticket got home okay, William went back to guard the girls house. As he stood underneath her window he began to feel anxious again. He wanted to touch her, wanted it so badly that before he could stop himself he was replaying the boys' memory. He replayed it a million times, always freeze-framing the moment after she kissed the boy. William closed his eyes and imagined it was him instead of the boy. Suddenly the girl stiffened, noticing that the male lead in this dream had changed. He pleaded with this new memory turned dream to let her stay where she was. He tried to give her the peace he felt but he couldn't hide his longing. He reached up and cupped her face gently. His fingers only felt the satin of her skin for the briefest of seconds before being smacked away. Confusion flashed in her eyes and she rebuked him for his hastiness,"Don't touch me. You're not supposed to be here. You're not....him. Who are you?" William couldn't help but feel proud of this girl.. She struck him! This girl was going to be a challenge but maybe one day a worthy lover. He answered her question with a cliché that was true in this case,"I'm someone who cares for you very deeply. I am....the man of your dreams. Pun intended." He took advantage of her confusion to touch her face again. She didn't smack him.

After she was gone from the dream, he opened his eyes. He whispered,"I'm William", in the direction of her window, knowing she would never hear.
