Gou: (one morning; enters the throne room) Hm? Where's the emperor?

Yo: Nursing his sick husband...

Gou: His health hasn't yet improved?

Yo: We can't blame him. He was beaten up, stabbed, killed, came back to life, transformed into a dragon, fought the enemy, ended up exhausting himself, and now he's running a high grade fever.

Gou: You're not mad at me, are you?

Yo: Of course not. Why would I be? I only enumerated the facts why lord Haruka got sick.

Gou: I know... Right... Back to work.

Yo: You should be honest sometimes and admit that you're actually concern for the boy.

Gou: His not a boy anymore... He has become a man which we hoped him to become.

Yo: (smiles)

Haruka: (sick in bed; his head is on Mao's lap)

Mao: (touches Haruka's forehead) Your fever has gone down a bit... (takes a wet towel from a basin of water and places it on Haruka's forehead)

Haruka: Mao...

Mao: I'm here...

Haruka: Shouldn't you rest too?

Mao: (smiles) I'm fine. It's you I'm more worried about...

Haruka: I see...

Mao: ... (looking at Haruka's face) What happened?... When you died?...

Haruka: ... I saw them... My parents... My sister... My ancestors... We weren't great in numbers. Only few of us... I guess that was the reason why it was easy for him to kill every last one of us.

Mao: But he didn't kill you. You're here with me...

Haruka: He did kill me... (looks up to Mao) The thought of letting you face this life in his hands, was unbearable. I couldn't allow myself to just die and leave you. So I wanted to come back... I came back to be with you...

Mao: You chose me over your own family? You could've stayed with them. Don't you want to be with them too?

Haruka: Yes, I could've stayed and I do want to be with them. I chose you because I didn't want to leave you. I don't want you to go through the same loneliness that I felt.

Mao: (about to cry) Do you have any idea what I felt when he told me you're dead? You idiot! (cries)

Haruka: (sees his necklace around Mao's neck) It must've been like hell... Just like when he killed me...

Mao: (hugs Haruka) Haruka...

Haruka: I'm so sorry, Mao... I'm so sorry for letting you go through something horrible. (holds Mao in his arms)

Mao: Don't do something like that again...Take me with you... Don't leave me... Please...

Haruka: (looks at Mao's face) I would never leave you. (kisses Mao)

Mao: Haruka...

Haruka: ... (embraces Mao)

Mao: Haruka... 

Haruka: Mao...

Mao: Haruka... More... Please...

Haruka: I might end up hurting you.

Mao: I don't care! (holds on to Haruka tightly) I want you. I only want Haruka. (cries)

Haruka: (looks at Mao's face and wipes his tears) I'm not going to disappear...

Mao: (still crying) Haruka...

Haruka: Listen carefully to me, Mao. I'll always come back to your side...

Mao: That's a promise, right? You promise?

Haruka: I promise...

Mao: You always keep your promises.

Haruka: I do.

Mao: (hugs Haruka) Haruka. Haruka, aishteru... So don't leave me...

Haruka: Not a chance. (looks at Mao)

What we've been through made us see that we have the same fear and we've overcome that fear together. Haruka and I may be living in a dream ...

And if this is a dream, we wish to never wake up...
