Homecoming

I watch as Chloe enters her motel room, then I sip down the rest of my tea. I then head back myself, to my room. I slump into bed, lying on the couch. I turn on my phone, and listen to music before falling to sleep.

My dream was about Chloe, getting hit by the car. Instead of me saving her, I just stood there. I could not move, I was purely sentenced to watch her death. It was like an out of body experience. I could see a version of myself trying to save her, and then falling to its knees. Weeping in sorrow of loss. Then Chloe's family came, and her dad grabbed me by the shirt. As my third person view watched, I was being pummled.

I woke up and the air was firdgidly cool. The door was open to the motel room, so I walked out. I noticed my mom, packing things into the van.

"What are you doing?" I ask her. She looks at me.

"I'm packing, after the Williams and us go to get breakfast, we're going home!" She smiles. I remember the end of our vacation being today, and I enter the room to get my stuff.

I grab my clothes and I put them into a backpack. I put all of my hygiene necessities into another bag. After which, I turn and put them into the car. I get ready for breakfast.

---

Later in the restaurant, Chloe sits on the other side of the table. She doesn't even look at me. The waitress is nice, and she smiles a lot, but that wasn't my priority.

---

On the way home, I try to talk to Chloe, and she only replies to some yes or no questions by nodding. I never hear her voice. I think she is mad at me.

Finally we arrive home. It seemed as if it would never happen. I was glad to be home, and I immeadeately hopped onto my bed. I guess I lost track of time, because I fell asleep early that night.

*knock knock knock*.  The door goes off, and someone is behind it. I open the door to greet Chloe.

"Hey, Chloe hows it going?" I ask, and she falls onto me. She cries and cries and cries.

"Woah, Chloe what's up?!" I ask, as she's crying. She can't answer. I stand up, still cradling her.

"Are you ok? Here, let's get you settled onto the couch. I'll be right back." I set her on the couch, and I got her some Kleenixs and some hot cocoa. I got myself some hot cocoa as well.

"Now, what happened? Try not to get so worked up about it." I say sinserely. She sips her drink, and wipes her face.

" yesterday when we went home, I- I went straight to my room, and my dad went in there as well." She said, and than she started to cry again. "What happened after that?" I asked.

"H-he said you were a bad person, and that I shouldn't see you anymore. That you would do bad things to me, and that you'd hurt me. I didn't believe him, I didn't want to believe him. But I didn't argue back. I said he was right, and that you were bad. I'm sorry" she says to me, and I'm in shock.

"He was being really nice to me, and he sat really close to me. He put on the television, and sat next to me. He lied down, and he offered for me to lie next to him." She starts to bawl. I hold her.

"Chloe, tell me what happened. I'm here." I say, patting her back. She continues.

"He kept in urging me to lie next to him, and he was being very nice. He got up and went to get me a drink. I locked him out, and he banged on the door." Chloe told me the story, and I was in awe at this.

"Where was your mom?" I ask.

"She was at the grocery store in the cities, because while we were in Chicago, most of our food grew spoiled." She explained to ,e where her mother was at the time, and I continued to ask her to go on with the story.

"He kept on banging on the door, and he eventually broke the lock. He barged into the room, and he pushed me onto the floor. He slapped me in the side, and he poored the drink down my throat......" She cries and cries.

"He- he-." She stopped speaking for a long time. "I woke up on the bed, and with my clothes ripped. I was sore." She bawled.

We sit in silence for a long time. Not long, Chloe gains my attention.

"Tyler, my dad, beat me."

She started crying and hugged me. I was shocked. And I was holding her tight. She kept crying, and accidentally spilled her drink. We sat there for hours, just holding each other.

(Hey guys and gals. Today in "As Time Passes", Tyler and his family, and Chloe and her family, go home. I'm sorry it took me so long to put this out there. And for the fact that it was so short. It's just that I wanted to make it an impactful chapter. After all, it is chapter ten. I'm sorry for those who don't like dark stories, usually, I don't write things too dark, but today was an acception.
