~ Chapter 43 ~

Chloe's POV

It had been three weeks since the encounter with my dad. Our relationship had been making progress and was almost like we were back to normal, a few errors now and again but it was all good.

Walking through the halls of high school I couldn't help but think of what else would happen before I leave. I was so young yet the life of being part werewolf was always going to be hard. I knew that ever since I heard Trey's story, he had been so young, fourteen to be exact. Speaking of Trey he had also came out of his shell about the truth of what happened that night. The pack members looked at him in a new light some also leaving apologetic glances at him whenever they saw him, guilty of thinking there future alpha could be so despicable.

Hooking an arm around my shoulders, "Hey," He murmured kissing the side of my head. A smile covered my face at the sweet gesture. "How about we get out of here?" He asked.

Looking at the time I rolled my eyes school had already been dismissed five minutes ago. "You could've said that at lunch or something Trey I was bored out of my mind!" I told him. Laughing he kissed the side of my head again murmuring something.

"What was that?" I questioned.

"I was just saying that we're different." He said stopping in his tracks, facing towards me he looked at me with the gentlest look I have ever seen making me feel all jello like.

Looking back up at him, "What do you mean?"

"Think about it, what have most couples done that we haven't?" He asked.

Running my mind over all the things we have done a frown covered my face. To me our relationship has been almost perfect so him asking that... does that mean he doesn't think it is as perfect as I do? Feeling self-conscious all off a sudden I ran a hand through my hair.

"I-I don't know..." I trailed off trying to put off the frown that fort to cover my face.

"Guess," He sang a little.

Biting the inside of my cheek I looked around as if the answers were covering the walls. "I honestly don't know Trey." I told him looking down.

Cupping my chin in his soft, yet firm hands he lifted my chin gently, making me have no choice but to look into those ocean blue eyes, "Really?"

Sighing, "Yes Trey, really."

"Not even a little?" He drawled out making me groan.

"Can you just tell me?!" I asked annoyed with how long he was putting it off for.

"Patience I was just getting there." He spoke a small twitch appearing at the edge of his lips.

Groaning again, "Trey come on, you know I'm not a patient person!"

"Which makes it even better," He let out a chuckle an amused expression covering his face at my annoyed gaze.

Grabbing his face with my fingers I tried to not laugh at the state his face was, cheeks squashed together, lips out like a duck, "Tell me now." I growled.

His eyes widened a fraction before he winked at me. Rolling my lips into my mouth I tried desperately to not laugh at how stupid that made him look. Reaching up he removed my fingers from his face, however I thought he'd of let go, instead he tangled our hands together.

"Fine," He sighed. Cocking an eyebrow at him silently warning him to hurry up, "We haven't been on a date," He finally told me.

A surprised gasp covered my face. I can't believe I did it with someone I haven't even dated yet. Whatever happened to morals? "Oh."
