The Truth

~ Chapter 32 ~

Chloe's POV

The next morning I woke up with a smile on my face as my mind ran around what happened last night. I giggled as I felt Trey's arm tighten around me and pulled me into his chest as he spooned me from behind. Oh my god! My family was down stairs when me and Trey were in the hallway basically dry humping. My cheeks heated up and I groaned in humiliation at the thought of seeing them in the morning.

One thing I was thankful for however was the fact that my parents weren't there as they were helping the injured pack members. My mind ran over to my brothers, are they still mad at me for making up with Trey? I haven't seen or talked to them since the kidnapping. I sighed and pushed them thoughts away and just thought about me and Trey for now.

I felt his fingertips trace along my arm and tangled our right hands together. I smiled and turned my head to see his blazing sea eyes looking back at me. They were filled with love, lust, happiness and guilt. I narrowed my eyes at the last one, turning my body so I was facing him I looked him in the eyes.

"What's up?" I asked, did he regret marking me? Saying he loved me? I tried to keep my breathing steady and bit my lip to stop my eyes from watering at the thoughts that ran through my head. Trey sighed and leaned his forehead on mine.

"I-I need to tell you something." He whispered. I hesitantly nodded and gave him my full attention while trying to ignore the fact that he was naked.

'I want him again' Crystal demanded. I froze as her hormones ran through my body. I felt Trey stiffen from beside me as he could smell how turned on I was.

'Not now... later' I told her. I felt her sigh and finally calm herself down. I sighed with relief and looked back at Trey and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry m-my wolf." I said as if that answered all the questions right now. He nodded in understanding and turned serious again, geez he looks so hot when he's all serious. I felt him stiffen and growl warningly. I smiled and looked down.

"Ok, well it's all my fault." He said quickly and winced. My face scrunched up in confusion and I looked up at him.

"Huh? What's your fault?"

"The reason why all that stuff happened... you going missing." He said quietly almost beating himself up with all the guilt hidden inside of him.

"How? What ar-" I cut my self off as Trevor's voice ran through my head again.

'He killed my baby sister'

I stiffened as I remembered our conversation. I slowly moved out of his hold and sat up in the bed while pulling the covers with me.

"Oh my god." I muttered to myself. How could I forget about that?

"Chloe, what did he tell you?" He asked hesitantly. I covered my face with my hands, not able to look at him right now.

"Chloe? Chloe, please talk to me..." He trailed off and shifted closer to me.

"Y-you, oh my god you-" I gasped out.

"No, no Chloe listen to me."

"Why? Why should I?" I asked confused. It was simple he killed that Trevor guys sister. Trevor went out for revenge on his sister's behalf and it all leaded to me as I was Trey's mate. So he found out and took me, abused me and mentally scared me. Trevor was blinded by trying to kill Trey, it was his aim and wouldn't rest until he reached it, but he didn't reach it and ended up dying and now im stuck with a mate who's a murderer.

'Listen to him' Crystal told me.

'Why? He killed someone!' I yelled at her. Is she stupid? Our mate is a murderer! What is he meant to say to make it sound like he's innocent?

'He has a reason!' She yelled back.

'Well it better be a freaking good one' I shouted before closing our link.

"Because I didn't know it was her until I killed her." He answered. I shook my head, wow is that the best he could do?

"That is just ridiculous Trey! Seriously and who did you think she was Trevor?" I said mockingly. He clenched his jaw in frustration and got of the bed. I watched as he put some boxers on before sitting back down on the side of the bed with his back towards me. He rubbed his temples and turned his head to the side so he could see me. I licked my lips as they felt dry then sighed.

"Who's Trevor?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes, "The guy who kidnapped me stupid." I said to him in a well-duh voice.

"That's not his name."

"Well it is in my mind." I told him. This time it was his turn to roll his eyes. "Anyway-" I said. "Stop changing the subject and get talking." He nodded and turned his body towards mine.

I couldn't stop my eyes from drifting down to his abs. I was cut out of my trance from his clearing his throat. I blinked once, twice, three times before registering that I was still looking at his chest. I bit the inside of my cheek and slowly looked away from the view. I noticed him try to stiffen a chuckle and shot him a dirty look which read 'I-dare-you-to'.

"Me and 'Trevor' never really got on since we met. There was something about him that made me immediately dislike him, I knew it was the same for him as he always used to do anything that would make me snap. He wanted a fight and that's what he got, I always knew his sister was very protective of him as he was to her they looked out for each other.

One day he took it too far, threatening the pack members, younger kids and myself. He started talking about my mate. Which I didn't have then but he knew the one thing that makes the wolf inside snap was talking bad about their mate. He stated saying that he would take her before I could, that she would be a whore a money stealing bitch. He started shouting it allowing everyone in the pack to know. My wolf was angry and wanted to kill him. I tried my hardest to calm him down but he was too blinded by wanting hi blood that he never stopped to think of the consequences and I just couldn't control him." He stopped and took a deep breath while looking into my eyes to show he was telling the truth. I nodded telling him to continue.

"My wolf ended up chasing him into the woods wanting his blood. I could hear my dad try to stop me saying it would be pointless, but I didn't listen and while he was talking in my head he was distracting me which allowed him to get away. I growled out telling him to come out and fight like he wanted. When he came out there was something off about him but I couldn't careless, he was smaller than he was just, I should have stopped and walked away knowing something was wrong but my wolf stayed as he thought it was him.

We ended up fighting and I could feel him try to say something in my mind link as he used to be in my pack, but I didn't listen, it wasn't until I had killed him that the body shifted back into his sister. I remember looking down at it confused and then hearing a howl full of pain as he walked into the clearing. I remember the words that lead us here 'I will get my revenge and when I do it will kill you' and I guess that's true because I would rather be dead then for you to be there... with him." He finished.
