It's My Fault

~ Chapter 16 ~

Chloe's POV

I watched as my mum's jaw dropped and happy tears rolled down her face as she took in Ashton. I was grinning widely and let a few tears escape myself at how happy she was.

"Baby? Am I dreaming?" She whispered still staring at Ashton, like he would disappear if she took her eyes of him.

"Mum." He whispered. My mum ran past me and hugged him kissing all of his face. He hugged her back tightly.

"Oh my god, you're really here. Thank you god." She whispered. I smiled at them.

"Honey, who was at the door?" I heard my dad shout while walking towards the door. When he walked out and saw my mum hugging Ashton he walked up to them slowly. My mum released Ashton and ran to my dad's side crying. My dad did the water works as well as he took him in, he holded his face in his hands.

"Ashton?" He whispered just as quietly as my mum had spoken. He nodded and my dad pulled him into a massive bear hug. I stood there watching them reunite. I smiled and laughed, this was too good to be true. My mum laughed at them too. When my dad let him go both parents looked at me smiling like goofy idiots.

"S-should we go inside?" I asked while laughing at them. They all nodded eagerly and followed me inside. When we got in my parents walked into the living room. I was about to follow them but somebody pulled me back by my wrist, turning around I saw a teary-eyed Ashton. He pulled me in for a hug.

"Thank you." I pulled away and slapped him lightly on the arm.

"You don't have to thank me twinni!" He laughed and nodded. I turned and pulled him with me to the living room where my parents were sitting on the couch. My mum was still crying into my dad's shoulder, while my dad was whispering words to her. When he saw us coming in he whispered a silent thank you to me. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

'You don't have to thank me dad' I sent to him through the mind link. He smiled and nodded, but I could see in his eyes that he was still thankful. I sat down and pulled Ashton with me.

"So em... do you mind me asking w-were you've been all these years?" I asked him. He sighed and nodded before looking at my parents. My dad cleared his throat.

"Chloe, I think we should bring the boys down so they can hear this as well." I nodded.

"Boys! Get down here now!" He shouted. I watched as they all ran down the stairs. James pushed Harry and he tumbled down the stairs.

"Ow my butt." He groaned. I laughed along with my brothers. Even Ashton joined in causing me to smile.

They walked into the living room and all stared at Ashton. I could sense he was uncomfortable. So I took his hand in mine and squeezed it. I watched as they all followed this movement. James growled at him.

"What is your problem James?" I asked. He growled again while I glared at him.

"Wow you move on fast. You were with your mate this morning and now him." I scrunched my face up in disgust.

"For your information I am not with him! That would just be disgusting!" I yelled at him. What the hell is wrong with him? He's acting like an arrogant prick!

"Oh yeah! Then explain to me why you're holding his hand then!" He yelled back. I growled in frustration.

"Because he is OUR twin you monkey's arse!" I shouted back. That caused him to shut up. Yes your eyes better fall out your head I thought.

"H-he's our what?" I rolled my eyes.

"I'm your twin... and if you lot could just sit down me and our parents could explain everything." Ashton said calmly. I smiled and nodded. They looked from me and Ashton to mum and dad. They all sighed and sat down amd looked at him waiting for him to start. I looked down at my hands. Why did I have a feeling that the reason he hasn't been here with his family was because of me? I could only hope it wasn't my fault. Looking at my parents their smiles were real, not their normal fake ones. I blinked back the tears. Why am I crying so much these days? I looked at my brothers they were looking between me and Ashton probably looking for similarities.
