~ Chapter 42 ~

Chloe's POV

Sighing quietly I looked over at my dad as he once again kicked the door with all his strength. I thought he would've realised by now from his other attempts and fails that the door's not going to break anytime soon. Even though I know the whole situation wasn't my fault I needed it to be sorted. I can't stand the hostility and hatred around my own father the one person who is supposed to make me feel the safest, I just couldn't allow it to go on any futher.

I flinched at the sound of his kick hitting the door again. "Dad, y-you need to stop that, the door isn't going to budge anytime soon."

Groaning he punched the door. "Shut up." He told me monotonuesly. My eyes snapped open in shock, the words which I had internally rehearsed to say to him for the last twenty minutes were now nowhere to find.

I sat there and thought about everything all the lies, hatred, royals, revenge and how I was stuck in the middle every time. It wasn't fair, I didn't ask to be who I am. It wasn't as if one morning I woke up and was like 'Let's get my own brother to be taken away from his family to protect me... Oh, and make me a royal why'll you're at it'. To top it off Crystal was clawing her way out wanting nothing more then to rip his voice box out for speaking that way to me.

"Do you know what?" He looked up at me the clear warning for me to stop speaking in his eyes. "I don't deserve this, I don't deserve to be treated the way you are treating me right now." I told him.

Clenching his jaw, "You deserve everything." He stated before punching the door again.

"Na-ah, that's where you're wrong again. You see dear old father of mine, I have my own questions... I want to know which one of my parents are a royal and why you have been hiding it from your children." I faintly heard him curse quietly under his breath. "What, are you not going to tell me old man?"

"It's none of your business." He told me. I snorted a laugh at that.

"Oh please, here I am getting blamed for everything and I can't even get a little information about my royal heritage?" I questioned.

Shaking his head no, he walked over to the other couch. "Just leave it be."

"No I'm not going to leave it! I want to know which one of you are a royal-" My mouth suddenly went dry. "-W-wait am I adopted?" I all but shrieked at him. I watched as he looked at me in disbelief.

"You're not adopted Chloe." He told me seriously. With those words it suddenly felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders.

"So that means that either you or mum are royals...?" I stated looking at him suspiciously. What do royal werewolves act like? When he didn't speak up I started to get really annoyed. "Just tell me for god sake!"

"I don't need to tell you anything, you're nothing to me anymore." Looking up at me, he spoke those words looking me straight in the eyes. It felt as if someone had my heart in there hand and was squeezing it, their other wrapped tightly around my throat making it hard to breathe and think straight.

"Y-you don't mean that." I protested weekly.

"I do."

"No! No you don't! How can you, you're supposed to be my father... You're supposed to love me no matter what happens along the way-" I looked at him fighting my tears. "You're supposed to be looking out for me and making sure no-one hurts me." Wiping my eyes with the back of my hand an unwanted sop escaped my lips. This isn't happening I couldn't lose him, I couldn't lose my father. He was my rock, my role model and I was his little girl.
