*Carolines pov*

I wake up and automatically feel like crap. I look in the mirror and feel sick to my stomach. I hate the way I look.

I can hear my mom calling my name "CAROLINE COME ON YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE". I roll my eyes "COMING CHILL YOUR TITS".I grab my stuff and run down stairs. "Here I'm here"

I say this finding she's already outside in her car .I run outside and hop in the car. Headphones already in my ears I get in the back .I put my chemical romance and wait till we get to school.

I feel the car stop so I quickly grab my stuff and run into the school.

As I walk through the door I realize I'm later than usual so I quickly walk up the stairs and through the classroom doors.

"I AM HERE I AM NOT ABSENT DO NOT MARK ME ABSENT I AM GOING TO PUT MY STUFF IN MY LOCKER ILL BE RIGHT BACK"

My teacher looks startled as I run out of the class room. I can hear some students giggling.

My breathing slows a little bit as I start walking to my locker. I go ahead and take out 2 class binders so i don't have to stop later.

When I get back inside the classroom I sit in my seat."I didn't count you absent" My teacher calls out from behind her desk I nod.

She chuckles and starts typing on her computer.I look around searching for Sky. To my surprise I dont see her.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. Sky is sitting next to me "I kinda asked the teaher if I could sit next to you since you don't really know anyone else I hope that's okay"

I smile at her "thats perfect". "So I've been meaning to ask you" I look to the side. " Umm What are your pronouns?"

Chass looks up at me "Oh I go by they/them". "Oh ok cool sorry for calling you by the wrong pronouns" i say frowning. They lightly touch my shoulder "its ok don't worry about it"

"So you wanna buy some memes?" I laugh and reach in my bag to pull out laminated pictures of pepe the frog.

They laugh so hard they fall out of their chair. Sky gets back as i bite my cheeks trying not to laugh."How much?" chass jokes."40 chromosomes for one" I laugh.

Sky laughs "I'll take 3". "Since this is your first time I'll give em to you for half off" I giggle. "Thanks bro" Sky says.

We continue talking about memes for the class period until we hear the bell ring ."Whale I'll see you later bye friend" Sky waves bye to me. I smile and wave back.

I start to leave when a girl named Hannah walks up to me ."Are you and the new girl dating?" I blush "What psh no" she smirks "Sure seems like you are" I roll my eyes "Alrighty bye"

I hurry off toward math "Why would people think we're dating?" I turn to walk into class when someone walks up to me and pushes me into the wall. "Oh no now I'm gonna get fag on me" i hear the kid say. They laugh and walk away

I stand up off the floor and pick up my things. What??just??happened??

I walk into class and suddenly everyone goes quiet. I notice a group of people whispering and looking at me. They notice I'm staring and quickly face the board again

"What is going on?" I say to myself

After class I look for sky in the hallway .I finally see them and walk towards them. "Hey have people been acting weird around you?" I ask looking confused.

Sky frowns "Yea one kid called me a fag" I frown also "Yea same I got pushed"

"I wonder What's up with everyone?" I say to Sky

We both walk to class in silencel. When We reach our seats we find a note

"Meet me in the bathroom outside of the lunchroom at lunch" .I look at Sky confused only to find them confused as well.

Mr.paulk walks up to the board and writes what we're doing.Sky and I start the assignment. We sit there silently doing our work.

When we finish Mr.paulk lets everyone know its lunch time. We turn in our papers and start walking out.

We both decide tp walk to the bathroom outside the lunchroom. When we go inside we find my friend Trinity.

"Are you the one that left the note?" I ask when we get closer. She just nods. then says "This girl named Hannah started a rumor you guys are dating and this school is full of homophobic people.I'm just letting you know so you know why everyone is acting so weird"

Sky and I both look at each other "Oh well" we both say. "Yup they wanna start a rumor I'll show them a rumor" Sky says.

Trinity makes a concerned expression
"I wouldn't do that if I were you I'm just sayin".

I roll my eyes "What's the worst they could do? Throw their bibles at us?" "Just be careful Caroline you too Sky"

I laugh taking Sky by the hand "Lets go". They smile and squeeze my hand lightly. "God I think im in love" I say to myself.

I have no idea what came over me but im feeling really confident for some reason. We walk in silence for a few minutes. Sky nudges my shoulder "So does this mean we're a thing now?"

I smile "That's exactly what it means" suddenly Sky takes my hand pulls me closer to them. I don't pull away liking how my hand feels in theirs.

My hands arnt that much smaller but i basically have baby hands. I mean so does Sky but mine are like a 3 year olds. So they fit perfectly in Sky's hand.

Im so happy to finally become a "thing" I know its stupid but ive never dated anyone before Sky. Not like anyone would wanna date me anyways but still.

I am nervous about what everyone else will think, but i know Sky will be there for me. Atleast i hope so, i mean i would be there for them?

Wouldnt they do the same for me? I hope so? I dont know maybe Sky is just doing this to prove to everyone they dont care.

Maybe they really dont wanna be with me, whatever it is im gonna enjoy it while it lasts. I like being able to call Sky mine.

I mean to me they're basically the most attractive person in school. I don't see why theyd wanna be with me,maybe its because im new and they just wanna be nice?

I don't know, but whatever Sky chooses to do is their buisness. So if they wanna just be friend i guess thats whats gonna happen, its not like id be like "oh no youre stuck with me forever"

I know i over think stuff and im probably over thinking this but oh well its whatever. I over think everything and this is just one of those things.
