A tragedy.

Twenty-nine

I pick sky up and carry her out to my car. I sit her in the front seat and buckle her in "We'll go to my house bug and get some ice cream and watch the never ending story".

She smiles at me "thanks mikey"

I reach my hand over and lay it on her thigh. She places her hand over mine and laces her fingers with mine.

We make it to my house and I decide to carry sky in. I walk up to the door and start messing with my keys trying to unlock the door.

Sky laughs "mikey put me down and unlock the door" I roll my eyes. "Fine only because i want ice cream" sky smirks "oh ok".

I finally get the door open and sky runs over and jumps on my couch. I chuckle and go to the kitchen getting my big tub of Neapolitan ice cream and two spoons.

"I just got the entire tub because I'm pretty sure we're gonna finish the whole thing"

Sky had already got the never ending story on and was about to press play. She looked up at me and smiled "you're right haha".

We spent the rest of the day watching movies and eating ice cream.

By our 17th movie skyle was out "well bug i guess im gonna carry you to my bed" i kiss her forehead and lay her on my pillow. I climb in next to her and spoon her "goodnight bug i love you".

Sky's p.o.v

I wake up in a pool of sweat my dream was awful and terrifying. Theres dried tears down my cheeks and my heart is racing.

I roll over just hoping its the person I want most but of course its not. I start crying and suddenly Mikey's eyes open. He quickly sits up.

"Whats wrong sky?" He wraps his arms around me. "I had a dream but im fine i guess"

He frowns "what was it about?" I look to the side "its a long story"

Mikey grabs his phone from the small table next to his bed. "Its 6am sky we have time" I smile

"Ok so a few years ago i dated this girl named caroline and on our 1 year i took her out to the fair or carnival thing because she had never been to one well that night she needed to use the bathroom and I was gonna go with her but she told me to go get us something to drink so i did and i waited for her at the bench but she never came she was brutally murdered and raped"

Tears flow down my face mikeys grip tightens around me "aw sky im so sorry"

I frown "yeah me too, ever since then i started drinking and doing drugs" mikey frowns "im sorry bug i really am you didn't deserve all that"

I shrug "maybe I did maybe i didn't"
Suddenly mikey's hands are on my cheeks lifting my gaze to meet his "you did not deserve it"
