A tragedy.

Twenty-eight

I stare into my coffee cup thinking over the passed events. I look out the window and look at all the passing strangers

my mind starts to wonder "who are they? What are their plans for today? What if I were them and my life was completely different?"

A slight breeze brings me to reality and i look up to see what couldve made it

There I see a boy that looks just like mikey standing in the doorway

my mikey but totally different

Suddenly a ping of guilt runs threw me

I reach into my pocket and type in his number.

Me: hey im sorry i ran off
Mikey: omg sky I was so worried
Me: come pick me up :/
Mikey:ok where are you
Me:coffee shop in town
Mikey:omw

I smile at my phone knowing he'd always be there to rescue me and lean my head on the window "i love you Mikey".

Mikey's POV

I quickly type "omw" and head off to the small coffee shop where sky is at

I frown to myself  picturing what she must look like sitting alone in that coffee shop

Looking depressed and upset

It hurts to just think about seeing her that way because I know she deserves better

And maybe I'll be the one to make everything okay again

Maybe one day I'll get the courage to really tell her how i feel

I pull up to the small coffee shop and immediately see sky

Her head leaning against the window

She looks so fragile like hugging her too hard would break something

I rush in and put my arms around her

She wraps her arms around me and nuzzles her face into my chest

Muffled cries come from her mouth and I feel my shirt getting lightly soaked in her tears

I lift her head up to see a disheveled but cute skyle

"This is your time kiss her now" A voice says inside my head

I push it out of the way and look to the side

Suddenly im caught off guard by small lips pressing into mine

Sky wraps her arms around my neck forcing me closer

I begin to kiss her back wrapping my arms around her waist

And in that moment we werent in a coffee shop

We were...alone
