"You what?!" Dean yelled and jumped out of the bed. Sam on the other side of the room sat up in his bed and looked at them with raised eyebrow.

"Could you keep it down, guys? I'm trying to sleep here" he groaned and laid back down, covering his head with the sheet and mumbling something to himself.

Dean turned back to Cas. "What the hell, Cas? If this is some kind of a joke, it's ju-"

"Dean" Cas stopped him and stood up, frowning. "I had to. I... I couldn't just stand there and watch you die, Dean. I couldn't bare the idea of losing you. I lost most of my brothers, and you know how that feels, Dean. With each of my brothers dying, a part of me died too. But then you came. You taught me so much, Dean. You showed me what it means to truly live, you showed me how the smallest things can be the most important,...

You taught me to love."

He was looking at Dean, his deep blue eyes starting to fill with tears. Pain, fear, sorrow, all of those hidden behind the love he felt towards the man sitting in front of him.

"Cas.." Dean wanted to tell him so many things, but his voice broke down. His head felt like it was going to explode. He wanted to yell and throw things, punch the angel in his face for what he did,...

But he couldn't. He sat there, feeling the tears running down his cheeks, his chest burning like his heart was going to jump out and break into a million pieces, his head hurting from too much thinking.

He looked up at his angel, his beautiful eyes almost shining through the darkness, his dark hair straggly, his soft lips he was about to lose so soon, his dirty trenchcoat hanging on his drooping shoulders.

"I'm so sorry, Dean" the angel said falling to his knees, covering his face with his hands trying to hide the tears.

Dean sat on the floor next to him and wrapped his arms around the angel's trembling body.

"Shhh.. It's gonna be okay, we'll find a way out of this, it will be alright" he mumbled and stroked the angel's hair trying to stop the tears streaming down his face.

He couldn't lose Cas. Not after everything they've been through, not after all everything they had to overcome to get this far.

Saving him was the only thing on his mind. He was desperate, scared.

For a while he just sat there gazing at the angel's face, his beauty was almost breathtaking as the moon was shining through the window, highlighting his sharp features.

Dean leaned forward and crashed his lips on Castiel's, roughly, the kiss was mirroring the fear and pain he felt inside. Their lips never disconnecting, they stayed like that for what felt like hours.

Finally, Dean pulled away and panting, he whispered "I can't... I can't lose you. Please."

Cas wished he could've told Dean not to worry, but he knew there was no way how he could make him suffer less. He could just hope that one day, Dean will realize how much the angel loved him and that sacrificing his life for the hunter was the best way to leave this world.

For now, Cas just wanted to spend his last days with the man he loves. He couldn't tell him everything was going to be alright, he couldn't promise all their problems will be just magically solved, but there was one thing that he knew will never change.

"I love you, Dean. Whatever happens, just remember that."
