Sam didn't answer. He looked down to the ground. Dean didn't deserve this. Any of it. Sam knew that and he felt awfully powerless when he realized he can't do anything to make things better. Dean was always there to protect him, to care about him, he was the one who taught him everything he knew and now when Dean needed help, he couldn't do anything.

Dean nodded and stood up. He looked at the feathers one last time and put them back in the box, closing it carefully.

"We better start packing," he said and furrowed his eyebrows. He turned around to walk out of the room, but Bobby was standing on the stairs.

"Dean, we can't just...go. We have no idea what he's capable of, we don't even know where he's headed... Look, I get it. It's Cas and you wanna help him but you can't just go and hope he'll appear right in front of you. Think about it as another hunting trip. What do you do first?"

"Find out what we're hunting," Dean mumbled, his head down. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe it was happening.

"Hey.." Sam said from across the room, his eyes narrowed at the screen of his notebook. Both Dean and Bobby walked over to him and looked over his shoulder.

"This was published three minutes ago. It says that at 11am today, a whole family was killed by a mysterious murderer who leaves the same message at every massacre. Look at this," he said and pointed at a picture under the article.

There was a piece of paper with three words handwritten in red color.

"Angel of Hell," Dean whispered and looked away. Whatever happened to Cas, it must've been horrible to change him like this. This wasn't the Cas he knew and loved. This was a heartless creature that someone made out of his angel. But he's going to fix, he's going to fix everything.

He walked over to the desk and pulled out a big map, pointing at the place where the massacre happened. "It's not that far, we'll be there in like two days," he looked up at Sam and Bobby. "We should go. As you said, he won't just appear right in front of us, so we better get him before he can do some more damage," he said and nodded for himself. Both Sam and Bobby were looking at him like he just said something in a whole diferrent language.

"W-wait, Dean. You're not gonna hunt Cas. You love him," Sam frowned and looked at his brother, worried. He knew Dean was broken inside and closing up to everyone else was his way of dealing with problems, but this was too much. He knew once Dean would see Cas, he'd break down and this time he might not be able to get up.

Dean's eyes filled with tears as he looked up to his younger brother.

"Don't you get it, Sammy? I do love him. I love him and that's why I have to kill him. I promised. And you know I always keep my promises."

Sam frowned but didn't say anything.

Silence was filling the whole room as they packed their bags and guns, no one really knew what to say.

Bobby knew this was a bad idea, but he also knew how stubborn Dean was, so he didn't even try to talk him out of it. Sam on the other hand thought Dean really didn't want to go, but some crazy love-chemical-thing in his brain made him go anyway, so he just stayed quiet hoping Dean would somehow just snap out of it and let them go alone.

Dean felt just numb. There was no more tears that could fill his eyes, the hole in his chest felt like a part of him he just got used to. He wasn't scared of killing Cas. He knew that's what he would've wanted. The Cas he loved died more than half a year ago and this creature was a monster like every other.

That's what he was trying to believe. But deep down couldn't stop thinking about the moment he'll see him. He couldn't stop thinking about all the what if's.

When they packed everything they needed, Bobby locked the house and they all got into the car, Dean immediately turning up the volume of the radio to stop them from trying to talk him out of it. They drove for hours, all of them quiet except for Dean's humming.

When the night came, they found a motel next to a little town and checked in for the night. The building was old and the lights were flickering, illuminating the dark corners of their room.

Dean sat down on the bed and started studying the map while Sam put his laptop on a table and Bobby draw a few quick protection symbols on the window and the door.

"We should be there before noon tomorrow," Dean said and furrowed his eyebrows when he felt the big lump in his throat.

"Wait.." Sam clicked a few times and frowned, turning to the other two men slowly.

"I don't think we'll have to drive..." he paused and looked at the laptop again like he was trying to make sure he saw it right. "Two families in the town we stopped in for gas and someome just called emergency in the town down this road," he gave the a puzzled look. "Do you think he's-"

"Looking for you?" a deep voice finished his sentence and they all turned around to see the dark figure standing in the door.

"Long time no see, Winchesters" Cas smirked and narrowed his eyes.
