Cif sat at the Mystery Shack next to Mabel, as the two of them waited for customers and talked, bored and tired of sitting in the cold room while Dipper was hanging out in the family room watching television.

"So, truth or dare?" Mabel asked Cif, laughing.

Cif giggled. "Um, truth," she answered Mabel.

"Okay,' Mabel said, thinking, "Who was your first kiss?"

Cif felt embarrassed, and her eyes looked down at the floor. "I-I've never actually kissed anyone," she mumbled dully.

"No way," Mabel laughed, "Don't lie!"

"I'm, uh, I'm not lying, I've never kissed anyone," Cif said quietly.

"Oh," Mabel stuttered, "Then sorry if I made you feel bad about it, it's just I was twelve when I got my first kiss, and you're what, fifteen?"

"Fourteen," Cif almost snapped, feeling bad for sounding so bitter.

Mabel looked away, feeling bad for how she'd made Cif feel.

"Who was you're first kiss?" Cif asked Mabel.

"Just a guy I met here, actually," Mabel told Cif.

"Was it Gideon?" Cif asked.

"Hell, no," Mabel said quickly, shocked.

"Sorry I asked," Cif stammered.

"It's fine, sorry for getting mad, it's just, I don't really like talking about him, it's not a comfortable topic anymore," Mabel said seriously as she looked at Cif.

"I understand," Cif tried to make Mabel feel better, even though there wasn't much point considering she would discover Gideon was still alive soon.

"You know how Stan's having that thing tonight?" Mabel asked Cif.

Cif nodded, she was talking to Dipper about it yesterday. "Yeah, it's like some kind of grand opening, right?"

"Yup," Mabel said."For his new attraction at the shack, though it will probably be just as big of a rip off as all the others."

At the opening Cif was planning on telling the town Gideon wasn't dead, she just hoped he would show up, because she couldn't tell anyone without him there, no one would believe her in a town like this.

"Hey, Cif," Mabel interrupted Cif's thoughts, "You might want to put on something nicer on for this thing, it's the biggest event Stan's had in years. I'll be wearing my pink dress, just a tip."

Cif nodded. "Okay, I can go change," she said, glancing at the clock and realizing she only had forty minutes before she had to be ready for the grand opening.

"Kay-Kay!" Mabel called as Cif hurried upstairs, and looked back at her phone.

Cif hadn't packed much of anything nice, she hardly ever dressed up, so she didn't have much. She quickly dug through her clothes, finding a sleeveless red dress that reached just above her knees, putting on a light amount of power and mascara, and clipped her hair up into a formal style.

After checking herself in the mirror, she put on her black flats and hurried downstairs. Sitting on the couch was Mabel, who was already dressed. Her long brown hair was curled, and she wore a pastel pink dress with short sleeves, with a matching pink headband and pink heels. She was wearing more makeup than normal, including darker lipstick and eyeliner.

Dipper sat next to her, he was wearing a dark blue dress shirt, formal black pants, and dress shoes. He looked nicer than normal, not to mention older.
