Cif didn't like spending more time in the same room as Mabel than she had to so most days, like today, she would stay at Gideon's house until sunset. It was never awkward for her to be alone with him, and he was her closest friend in the town.

The only thing that bothered Cif at all about talking to Gideon was the fact that all he wanted to talk about was Mabel. Cif didn't mind too much, though, for she thought it was beautiful to know someone could love another human who has done nothing for them as much as he loved her.

Neither of them knew why Cif's hair was randomly changing length and color.

"Why is your hair white, anyways?" Cif asked Gideon, "not to be rude, but it's very odd and unnatural."

"I'm really not sure, but it wasn't always like this, it began turning this color about five years ago which was when I first met Mabel and Dipper," Gideon told Cif.

"I don't understand why this is happening to us," Cif said, confused. "Did you know I was on the news yesterday?"

"Yeah," Gideon answered.

"How did you know? You don't have a television." Cif then asked.

"Pretty much the same way I've known everything lately," he told her, "I didn't know you were pregnant," he joked.

Cif rolled her eyes and laughed. "Yeah, well, neither did I," she replied sarcastically. "They also thought we were dating, you know. Isn't that ridiculous?" She laughed nervously.

Gideon nodded, not looking at her. "I know, it's crazy."

There was a pause, and both of them felt uncomfortable.

"Do you think you ever will?" Cif asked after a moment. "Start dating, get married? Have a normal life?"

Gideon looked at her, surprised that anyone would think to ask him this. "Maybe," he answered, thinking, "I'd really like to, and if I can leave this town and start life over again, maybe I'll meet the right person and get to live the life I'd always wanted."

"Leave the town?" Cif asked. "Why? What if there's someone in this town for you?"

Gideon laughed quietly. "Seriously? Cif, this entire town hates me. Even Mabel."

Cif shook her head sadly and closed her eyes for a short moment before looking back at him. "Well, I don't."

Gideon said nothing at first. "I don't understand why. Don't you know all of the awful things I did?"

Cif nodded. "Yeah, I don't care, though. I didn't know you then, but I know you now, and if you've done nothing to me, you've given me no reason to hate you."

Neither of them spoke for a moment, though they didn't have to, they were both very quiet.

"Your hair looks nice like that, actually," Gideon told Cif and smiled.

Cif smiled back and laughed a bit. "It's certainly different, that's for sure," she replied.

There was a loud knock on the door. Cif stood up and answered it to see Shandra for a second time this week, with about forty-five paparazzi and the Gravity Falls journalist, Toby Determined surrounding her.

Cif and Gideon both walked outside, confused, and looking at Shandra, who introduced them without asking their permission.

"Hello, and welcome back to the Gravity Falls local news," Shandra said to the camera, "I'm Shandra Jimerez, here with Ciferity Katley and Gideon Gleeful, both are said to be the members of the ancient myth told here in Gravity Falls known as 'The Broken'. How are you guys?"

Cif and Gideon looked at Shandra awkwardly, and then to the camera, completely confused looks on their faces. "How did you know where we live?" Cif asked Shandra after an awkward moment.

Before Shandra could say anything, Toby Determined interrupted by yelling over the paparazzi, "Cif, are you implying that you and Gideon live together now?" He asked.

Cif looked at him, still a ridiculous look of misunderstanding on her face. "What? No, I meant-that's not what I meant. Gideon, what did I mean? Tell them."

Gideon just looked at her, not knowing what to say. "I don't know," he told her, also confused, "we don't live together."

Cif just rolled her eyes with a 'you're so stupid, you really should know what I'm talking about' look on her face even though there was no way he could know what she meant when she barely even knew.

"So," Shandra said, trying to move this incredibly awkward conversation along, "can you guys clear up a few rumors so that the media can only post what's true?"

Cif and Gideon both nodded.

"Okay, thank you," Shandra smiled, "First thing, you are not having a child, correct?"

Cif and Gideon looked at each other, embarrassed, disgusted, and horrified. "No!" They shouted together.

Shandra laughed. "Alright, that's a shame, it could have both of your powers, but let's move on, are you two dating?"

They both shook their heads, resulting in a lot of disappointment from the paparazzi.

"And neither of you have any romantic feelings for each other?" Shandra asked them.

There was another awkward pause, before either of them said anything.

"Well, I mean, he's like, obsessed with this girl, Mabel Pines," Cif told Shandra, "so, uh, yeah.."

Shandra nodded. "Gideon, is this true?" She asked, " because I believe you and Mabel dated about five years ago."

"Yeah, for like three days," Gideon told Shandra, "but it wasn't serious."

"So are you in love with Mabel?" Shandra asked Gideon a second time.

"Yes," Gideon told her without even thinking about it.

"Cif, what about you?" Shandra asked.

"What, no- I'm not in love with Mabel, too," Cif said awkwardly, not realizing she sounded like a complete idiot, and she knew that wasn't what Shandra meant.

Shandra just laughed, not taking what Cif said seriously. "No, honey, I meant are you in love with Gideon, even though he doesn't feel the same way about you?"

Cif completely froze, not knowing what to say. "I mean, like, I- no- like, I've only know him for just over a month, and, like, no..." she answered ridiculously.

"Cif," Toby shouted at her, "can you please speak a little more clearly, and with fewer "likes" before every word you say? I'm writing down everything you guys are saying."

"What do you guys want from us anyways?" Cif asked Shandra, "Why are we suddenly all of the gossip in this town, we aren't celebrities or anything. Also, we've just learned that we have magical powers, our hair has turned unnatural colors, and we're going to have to destroy a demon, and you're asking two fourteen-year-olds who've known each other for a month if they're going to have a baby? What kind of news show is this?"

Shandra looked at Cif for a long time, before asking the cameraman, "Are you getting all of this? This is great, she's going to be a little starlet!"

"What? No," Cif argued, "I don't want to be a starlet, I don't even know what a starlet is, I just want to be left alone."
