A Day In The Life

Chapter 1

Keegan's POV

A year later........

        Hi I'm Keegan McGarrett. For those of you who don't know; hi I'm Keegan. I came to Hawaii to meet my father for the first time in my entire life. Only to think it was a year ago. So much has happened. I met Steve and Danno, I was kidnapped, had two surgeries and lost a few important people. Oh I also met Austin... Austin. I feel all warm and bubbly. Words can't describe how I feel about him. Now that you're all caught up lets jump right into the story.

        I searched my room for my sweater but couldn't find it. Steve walked in my room. "You're going to be late on your first day," he said. "I can't find my sweater." "I did you look in you're closet." "No." While Steve and I discussed where my sweater could possibly be Austin stood in the door way of my room. He was holding my sweater. I smiled. Austin looked nice in his uniform. The white button up shirt was a perfect fit. It showed off his muscles. The maroon tie was to die for. It's not my first time seeing Austin wear a tie but he looked adorable. "Ok get on to school before you're late," Steve said. I kissed Steve's cheek. "Bye daddy." I grabbed my book bag as Steve pulled me in for a hug. "Be good." "I will." I walked with Austin down the steps and out the door. We walked over to his car. I helped Austin get his license this summer.

       When we got to school Austin compared his schedule to mine. We had two classes together and lunch which sucks but we only have four days of school, so I guess it's ok. We're so use to seeing each other every day. At least after lunch we could leave. Austin put his arm around my shoulders as some guy walked over to us. He greeted Austin then took my hand and kissed it. "Who are you," he asked? "Keegan that's Lucas." I waved. "Are you guys dating?" "Yes." My heart flutter to the sound of those words. Austin just called me his girlfriend in a way. I smiled as I looked up at him. Lucas is way taller than me and a little taller than Austin. He has a few tattoos and a scare above his left eyebrow. Lucas was handsome but based off the vibe I'm getting from him, he seems cocky. He know he's ruggedly handsome. "Hey guys," said this girl. The guys greeted her then she grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Austin.

     I felt slightly uncomfortable. She touched my hair and examined my facial features. "I'm Maddison," she finally said. "Keegan." Maddison had really dark hair and these bright green eyes. Maddison was the shortest one of us all. She had a smile like Austin. Austin grabbed my hand causing me to turn around. He placed a soft kiss upon my lips and pulled away. "Your first class is right down here on the right," he said. I nodded. "Meet me right here after ok." I nodded again as I walked off. I hate all the classes I don't have with Austin but I do have a lot of classes with Maddison and Lucas so that's a plus. After school I called Steve. "McGarrett," he said. "Hi dad." "Hey, how was your first day?" "Good." "I'll see you when I come home ok?" "Ok be careful." "Always I love you." "I love you too." I slipped my phone in my bag as I turned around. Austin walked over to me. "Was that your dad?" I shook my head yes. "Everything ok?" I nodded again as I sighed.

      Austin knew my mood changed. He never really like to discuss my feelings around others including Steve. Austin hugged me and kissed my forehead. "It's only the first day," he said softly. I smiled as we walked over to Maddison who was yelling at Lucas. "Keegan please tell Lucas it's ok for a guy to cry," she said. "It's ok. I thinks it's sweet of a guy cry." "Austin would you cry?" "It depends," he said. "How?" "Well if you're crying over a girl that you love it's ok but if you're crying because you twisted your ankle or some thing suck it up." "Well I have to go to soccer practice," Maddison said. "Will there be tryouts," I asked? "Are you interested?" "Yeah." "Tomorrow morning I can introduce you to our coach." "Thanks." When Maddison left Austin dropped me off at home. "I'm meeting up with Luke and Maddison later for little bonfire," Austin said. "I can come get you later if you want." "Just text me." Austin stood there and just stared at me. We had a starring contest basically.

      He took my keys out my and went inside. I followed. I kicked off my shoes and threw my bag on the couch. I went upstairs and took off my uniform. I threw on Isaac's University sweatshirt and a pair of legging. I put my up and threw on my glasses. I went downstairs with Austin. He was eating a brownie. I sat next to him ask put my head on his shoulder. "Why were you upset," he asked? "Earlier?" Austin nodded as I took the last bite of his brownie. I swallowed my food before speaking. "Change of environment." "It's ok Luke and Maddie are good people." "I know but I don't know them like I know you. I've known you for almost a year." "I understand." Austin and I sat on the couch talking. He decided not to go to the bonfire because of me but we are going bowling this weekend with Maddison and Lucas.

     My first day at a new school was amazing even though I'm not use to it but I'll get there. I'm excited to meet the soccer coach. I haven't played soccer in forever. When Austin left I went up to my room and laid down. I never been so exhausted. Why did I want to go to a normal school? Because I'm dare to try something new. I get it from Steve. I fee like I get a lot of my characteristics from Steve but I get my looks from my mother. I miss her. Even after she helped Wo Fat kidnap me. I grabbed my phone and called Isaac. "Hey," he said softly. "Hi." "I was just talking about you." "Do you miss mommy?" Isaac sighed. "Yeah. I miss her a lot." "Me too." Isaac and I talked most of the night. I knew I was going to regret that but I just needed to speak with him. I couldn't asked for a better older brother. "Ok little sis," he said. "I love you big bro.." "Love you too baby sis."

     I placed my phone on the the charger them tossed it on the beanbag. I cut off the lamp and went to sleep. May my old adventures end so we can start yet another journey.
