A Day In The Life

Chapter 22

Keegan's pov

       A normal day at the office consists of me just sitting in my area doing nothing. I answer a few calls every now and then I just sit here. I can't wait to get home and see my babies. Alexa, Wesley and Asa. They're my heart. While I was sitting in my office my phone rung. "Hello," I said. "Hey Keegan your husband is here. Is ok for me to send him back?" "Of course and Dylan if he ever shows up you don't have to call." "Ok." I hung the phone and stood up as Austin walk. "Hey baby girl," he said. I smiled as I hugged him. "I bought you lunch," he said. I smiled. We sat down to eat. "So tonight Lexa has ballet but the boys have soccer practice," I said. "I did soccer last time so I guess we'll switch." I took a bite of my food as I nodded. "Also all three of them have been asking for something." "Asa wants a few new books, Wes wants a toy car and Alexa wants this doll." "Right so can we get them that before we take them to their activities?" "Of course."

       After lunch I ended up leaving the office and going with Austin to get the surprise presents for the children. Once we got them I went to get the boys and Austin went to get Alexa. When I got to the preschool Asa and Wesley ran over to me. "Mommy!" "Hey kiddos." "Where's daddy," asked Asa? "He's taking Alexa to ballet and I'm taking you guys to soccer." "Yah." "After dinner daddy and I have presents for you guys." "Is it the books I wanted?" I'm not telling you." I kneeled down as I kissed their heads then loaded them in a car and went to practice. Their practices consists of warm ups then they run around kicking the ball. I'm glad they play soccer just like I did. I'll play with the back yard every now and then.

     When practice ended we went home Austin was there. Asa and Wesley fell asleep. I carried them both in. It took me a while to learn how to carry them both and unlock the door. If that's not talent then I don't what is. Austin was on the couch asleep with Alexa on his chest. "Mommy," she said. I put the boys next to their father then picked up my baby girl. I went upstairs and changed then went back to the kitchen. Alexa helped me make dinner. We made rice topped with veggies and diced chicken. "Mommy," Lexa said. "Huh?" "Wake up daddy, Wesley and Ace?" I nodded. I finished setting the table as everyone woke up and came to sit down. Austin kissed me. "How long were you asleep," I asked? "You were asleep before the boys and I got home." "They were asleep too?" "Yeah." I kissed Austin. "Dinner smells amazing." I smiled as I sat down. Alexa ate from Austin's plate.

        At dinner we normally talk about our day. Wesley would talk about everything. Asa would talk about something he learned and the adventures he has with Hannah they're like best friends. Alexa just talks. Wesley is a lot like Austin. He's hates getting up in the morning, he loves his family and doesn't really like soccer but we can't find a lacrosse team for him. Asa is a lot like me. He likes reading( he gets that from the both of us). He's such sweetheart. He's very out going some times and loves soccer. Alexa is a mixture of me and Austin.

      After dinner we sat the kids in the living room and gave them their presents. Wesley was so excited about his toy car. "Thank you," he said. He hugged us. "Lexa open yours," I said. We got he a doll and a stuffed bear. She smiled. "Tank you!" She sat on Austin's lap. "Ace its your turn," Austin said. He opened his. "I wanted these, he shouted. Thank you! Can you read one with me mommy?" "Hey what about daddy?" I laughed. We got the kids ready for bed. I sat with Ace as he read to me, while Wesley played with his RC car and Lexa was with Austin in her room. I know the kids don't have school tomorrow but they need to get to bed. It's going on 9:40pm. Austin walked in. "Ok give everyone good night kisses," he said. "But daddy?" "No buts it's almost 9:40 it's time for bed." "One more chapter," said Asa. "Tomorrow and Wesley put the car away." Asa sighed as he pu the book on his bookshelf then crawled into bed. Wesley did the same. I kissed my boys then went to kiss my girl. I went in my room and crawled in bed.

     Austin walked in and laid next to me. "I'm beat," he said. I smiled as he kissed me. "I love you." "I love you too." Austin kissed me again. "I thought you were tired." "I am." Austin kissed me again. He sat up as I straddled him while deepening the kiss. "I love you so much," he whispered. I smiled as I crashed my lips into his. Eventually one thing lead to another. Austin climbed off me as I laid on his chest. I just went to sleep.

     Early the next morning all the kids jumped on us. "Wake up," they said. I went under the covers as Austin kicked them out so we could get dressed. I took a shower then got dressed. I put on a pair of house shorts and a random shirt then went to greet my children. They were brushing their teeth.
I helped Alexa. "No mommy I'm a big girl I can do it by myself," she said. "Ok. Where did daddy go?" "Downstairs he said Pawpaw is coming over." "Really." "Oh." "Mommy can we play soccer," Asa asked? "After breakfast." All three of them ran off as I walked down the steps. While Austin cooked I started doing laundry so he could finish. "Keegan," he said. "Yes love." "Come here." I walked into the kitchen. "What?" "Good morning." We kissed then I went to finish what I was doing.

    After breakfast Austin's father came over with his twin sisters. Shortly after he arrived my father showed up. I haven't seen since he went to South Korea for something. "Daddy," I said. "Hey princess." "How was South Korea?" "Good I guess." "Hi Mrs. Rose." I looked behind Steve to see Hannah. I kneeled down and hugged her. "Hey," I said. "Is Asa home?" "He's out back does your mommy know you're here." She nodded. "She said I can come play with him." "Alright." Hannah went to the back yard. "She's a cutie," Steve said. "I know her and Asa are together all the time." Steve and I sat in the living room talking. I'm glad he's back from South Korea. "Grandpa," Alexa shouted! "Hey!" He hugged her. "How are you?" She hugged Steve.

     After Austin's dad left and Steve left I played soccer with the boys then went to color with Alexa. She's such a princess. Austin had went to work. So it was just me and the kiddos. I never would've thought I'd end up married at twenty one with three children. I wouldn't trade this in for the world. Hawaii has been good to me for the past four years!
