34. Beating of a lifetime

Jade's POV....

Bruno was just about to kick me but the door burst open. I was engulfed in an all to familiar hug, while the sound of Bruno's pained screams,my sobs and angered words filled the atmosphere.

"What the hell were you thinking!!!!! How can you ever think about hitting a girl!!!!!!" Ricky's angered voice boomed throughout the house

"I-I'm Sor-"

"Sorry my foot!!!!!" I heard Faith's voice then a strained groan. "Take her to the bathroom and tend to her"

"But-"

"Now Taylor"

"Come on Shorty"

I followed unbelievingly behind the person I thought I'd never be able to hear again. As we entered the bathroom he closed the door

"Jade, I'm so sorry I let this happen to you-"

"Shhhh" I placed my hands on each side if his face "I'm glad your Ok Nate"

"I'm so sorry" Nate carefully hugged me and kissed my forehead"let's get the wounds bandaged up-"

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

"Faith! Faith!That's enough!"

"No! He hit her! He hit her- sobs"

"I'll be back Ok?"

"Okay"
Nate left and Faith came in not to long after

"What's going on? Where's Nate?!

"Giving Bruno a good beat down; he blames himself for this, not being there and all"

"Hm"

"Hm? All you have to say us "Hm"?"

"Uhhhhh, yeah"

"Nate is pissed at himself for leaving you by yourself, and all you have to say is 'Hm"?"

"Well I'm-"

"Nate you'll kill him let him go!!!!!! Jade!!!!!"

Without thinking in ran out to see Nate choking a very red Bruno and Ricky trying to pull him off

"Jade help!!" I immediately kneeled next to Nate and took hold of his hands

"Nate, please stop, its Ok I'm fine"

When I realised that's not working I tried a different approach. I held his face that was focused on Bruno and softly kissed him. I felt his body calm down and he kissed back. I reluctantly pulled away and stared into his eyes.
"Thank you Nate"

"Anything for you Shorty"

Just then someone yanked back my hair, turned me around and slapped me. I fell to the floor then Bruno fell unconscious next to me. I looked up and saw Faith trying to hold Ricky back.

I carefully got up and ran over to Nate and engulfed him in a hug

"You're the best"
