I woke up to the light shining in through my curtains. I sat up and rubbed my eyes to get all the sleep out of them. I got out of bed and walked downstairs to see mum and Trent in the kitchen eating breakfast.

"Oh good morning honey. Happy 16th Birthday" mum smiled as she got out of her chair to hug me.

"Thanks mum" I smiled as she pulled away.

"Happy Birthday sis" Trent smiled and hugged me.

"Thanks Trent" I smiled as he ruffled my hair.

We sat down at the kitchen bench while mum made us some pancakes. They were actually really good. After breakfast we all went into the lounge room so mum and Trent could give me my presents.

"Here you go Britt" mum smiled as she handed me a box wrapped in wrapping paper.

I pulled at the paper gently. Inside was a bunch of clothes that I wanted to get from this one shop that I like.

"Thank you mum. I love it!" I smiled and side hugged her.

"From me to you" Trent smiled as he handed me a small thin box.

I opened the top of it to reveal a beautiful silver necklace. It had a small charm shaped as a heart attached to it. Its so beautiful. I had no idea Trent would buy me something like this. It reminds me of the stuff dad use to buy me when I was a little girl.

I looked up at Trent with the biggest smile on my face, "Thank you so much Trent".

"Thats alright. I knew you would like it" he smiled.

"Like it? I love it! Can you please put it on for me?" I asked and held out the box to Trent.

He took the necklace from the box and put it around my neck. He clipped it at the back and it fell onto my chest. It looks like it was ment to be there. "Thank you".

"So, I've decided that we should all go out for a family dinner tonight. How does that sound?" mum asked and she stood up off the lounge.

"Sure" Trent and I both replied.

"Sounds good! I've got dinner reservations for 6pm down at the restaurant on the corner in the main street".

I walked up to my room and got dressed into a dress that mum got me. I think Teesha and Chantelle said they were going to pop around sometime today.

I heard my phone vibrate on my bed. I lent over and looked at the screen.

'From Jayden;

Happy 16th Birthday Britt. I hope you have a good day x.'

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I walked into my room and got dressed in a white summer dress that my dad bought me before he passed away. I curled my hair and put a flower head piece on and I did my make up like always. I put my white flats on and I grabbed my phone off charge. I walked downstairs and I got in the car with mum and Trent.

Tonight should be good. I had a pretty good day. Teesha and Chantelle came over and we spent the day laying by the pool, tanning and gossiping. It was nice having a girls day with my best friends. It was so much fun.

We pulled up out the front of the resturant. We all walked in and we were showed to our seats. After about 10 minutes of looking at the menu, I heard his voice. Maybe I'm day dreaming, or I'm hearing things. Or maybe it's because he's standing right in front of me.

"Hello Jayden. It's good to see you again" mum greeted Jayden with a friendly smile and a hand shake.

"It's good to see you again Mrs Bell" Jayden smiled. He was wearing a pair of light blue skinny jeans, a white singlet and a dark blue jacket. He looks so incredibly hot tonight. Oh my gosh.
