Once again it's been a week since I've spoken to Jayden. One week since that near miss kiss. Part of me actually wishes that we did kiss again. But the other half tells me that it's wrong because he has a girlfriend.

I sighed to myself and began walking to the music rooms. Its after school hours but I really want to practice the song Jayden gave me. I've been practicing the guitar cords and I've almost learnt the whole song.

I pushed the door open and grabbed a guitar from the rack. I sat on a stool next to the table and placed the sheet of paper with the cords on it on a music stand in front of me.

I got comfortable and tuned the guitar while I did a few vocal warm ups that Jayden taught me.

I started strumming the guitar and began to sing. I may not have a great voice but it will have to do.

"What day is it?

And in what month this clock never seems so alive

I can't keep up

And I can't back down I've been losing so much time

Cause' it's you and me

And all of the people

With nothing to do

Nothing to lose

And it's you and me

And all of the people

And I don't know why

I can't keep my eyes off of you

Why are the things

That I want to say just aren't coming out right

I'm tripping on words

You got my head spinnen, I don't know where to go from here

Cause it's you and me

And all of the people

With nothing to do

Nothing to prove

And it's you and me

And all of the people

And I don't know why

I can't keep my eyes off of you" I finished singing.

I was so into the song that I didn't even know what was going on around me. I heard someone cough from the door and I quickly spun around to see Jayden leaning in the door frame, just like he did at his house and just like before, he had a smirk on his face.

"You're getting really good" Jayden smiled and stepped forward slowly.

I blushed and put the guitar down.

"You've even learnt the cords for some of it. Very impressing" he smiled and pulled up a stool in front of me.

"You have an amazing voice Britt. You really should do more with it" he smiled.

"Thanks. But I'm not that good. Well, I'm not as good as you" I smiled shyly.

Jayden chuckled to himself, "Britt, you are ten times better than me. You just have to believe in yourself".

I looked down at the guitar and smiled. "You really think I'm good" I asked.

"Really, really" he smiled.

I smiled and looked down again.

"Jayden?" I asked looking up at him.

"Mm"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure" he smiled.

I took a deep breath. "It's hard to explain" I sighed.

"I think I know what you're going to say" Jayden said, which caused me to look up at him.

"You do?" I asked confused.

"Yeah. You're going to ask about what happened on Sunday, right?" he asked.

I nodded my head and I could feel my cheeks warming up. How did he know what I was going to say?

"I can't explain it either Britt. I'm just confused and I'm really sorry that you're caught up in it all" he sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair, making it spike up.

"Jayden its okay" I soothed.

"It's not Britt, it's really not. It's not fair that you and Kira are caught in the middle because I'm confused about my feelings" he said frustrated.

Wait. Did he just say that he has feeling for me? No. Don't be silly Britt. Like he said, he's confused.

I placed my hand on his knee and smiled warmly at him. "It's okay Jayden, really. It's not entirely your fault. You're just confused and there's not much you can do about that".

I looked into his eyes and I watched his face soften.

"You just need to figure things out so that you're happy" I smiled.

Jayden nodded his head and placed his hand on top of mine. "Thank you Britt. You're truly an amazing girl".

I pulled my hand away and smiled. "What can I say? I'm blessed" I laughed.

Jayden chuckled and smiled, "Yeah, you are".

I smiled and stood up, "Well, I really should get going. I'll see you soon".

Jayden stood up and pulled me in for a hug. I felt my stomach doing back flips as we hugged. Jayden's arms felt so warm around my body.

"Thanks again Britt. For everything" he smiled and we pulled away.

"It's okay Jayden" I smiled and picked up my bag.

I walked towards the door but stopped in my tracks. I turned around and smiled, "I hope you make the right decision Jayden. You deserve to be happy".

Jayden shot me his infamous sweet smile. I smiled back and walked away.

Did that seriously just happen? Did the bad boy Jayden Sierra just open up to me? I never thought I'd see that side of him. But I'm really glad I did.

I was walking across the school oval when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

'From Jayden-

Thanks for listening Britt. I really appreciate it x.'
