kodie sat at a fire alone once again while everyone else was gathered around clarke, bellamy, and finn. clarke was in the middle of some dumb speech that kodie kept focusing in and out on. "we have to know the truth. that's why we've decided to banish murphy. anybody got a problem with that?"

the brunette faintly rose her hand as she continued to stare at the fire in front of her, but she knew no one was looking at her to see her hand raised. in conclusion of the whole situation, murphy ended up chasing charlotte all the way to the edge of a cliff and she jumped. tons of people were sad for her, but kodie couldn't care less.

as everyone began to disperse kodie stood from her spot and made her way into the drop ship where monty, octavia, and jasper currently sat. she walked in just as jasper spoke, "will we be able to talk to them?"

"no." monty shakes his head. "more like morse code. you want to do the honours?" he holds the wire out to jasper. "that port right there."

a smile forms on jasper's face as he takes it and just as he goes to clip it clarke and finn walk in. "are you doing it?" clarke asks and kodie stepped aside, sending a glare finn's way.

"yeah," monty nods. "go ahead, jasper."

jasper carefully clips the wire onto the wire he was told to, but there was a spark and jasper jumped back, grabbing his wrist as his wristband suddenly clicked open. "what the hell?" octavia asks. "what happened?"

"it didn't work." monty frowns. "i think we just fried all the wristbands."

kodie's eyes traveled back over to finn and the look on his face made her realise what he was thinking. the ark thinks everyone is dead and now they won't follow him down. his girlfriend won't follow him down. "finn—" he shook his head and quickly left the drop ship with clarke hot on his heels.

jasper slid down the wall and put his head in his hands. kodie sat down next to monty and octavia walked over to jasper, sitting in front of him. "sit there at your own risk. i think i might be cursed."

"then call me a risk taker." octavia smiles. "and jasper, you're not cursed."

he scoffs, "i'm unlucky then."

"no." she shakes her head. "brave."

"brave?" jasper looks at her in disbelief. "for getting my face bashed in or for ruining any chance to contact the ark?"

"no, for standing up to a bully and trying to help everyone." octavia corrects.

"yeah. and failing. both times." jasper shakes his head.

"i didn't see anyone else step up, besides kodie, of course." octavia glances over at the girl with a smile before turning back to jasper. "did you? and i don't care how things turned out. you were brave to try. and bravery is always rewarded." she leans forward, giving the boy a small kiss before she exited the drop ship. kodie held back a laugh as jasper looked at monty in shock and monty gave him two thumbs up.

kodie leaves the two boys alone and makes her way over to a fire with the few boys that had followed murphy. "so," she says as she sits down. "he's gone?"

"not dead." one of them answered. "but bellamy beat the shit out of him."

she scoffs, "doesn't surprise me."

"he'll be fine. murphy can handle himself out there if you did." another chimed in.

kodie purses her lips and nods, "yeah."

"what the hell?" the first one spoke up as he glanced up at the sky. kodie followed his gaze and her eyes widened at the sight of a pod falling from the sky. "what do you think is in it?"
