    "why did you take octavia?" kodie asks as she leans against the wall with her knees to her chest.

    "she was hurt." he answers. "i wanted to help her."

    "she said you helped her." the brunette confirms. "but why did you stab finn?"

    "they were all trying to kill me, so i was going to kill them first." he states.

    "what did they do to you?" she continues to ask questions as he cleaned himself up with the rag and small bowl of water that was in the room.

    "it doesn't matter, kodie. all that matters is finding a way out of this place." he says.

    "the only way out is down and through the camp. everyone would see you." she shakes her head. "i don't know what to do."

    he shrugs, "you should've just stayed with me."

    "even if i stayed with you this would've all played out the same way." kodie states. "we would both be locked up here, not knowing what was going to happen next."

    "how long did it take for people to recognise you?" it was his turn to ask a question.

    "not long at all."

    the two sat in silence for awhile after that before the hatch opened and octavia quickly came up with clothes. "we don't have a lot of time." she states. "the rations are making everyone hallucinate, so we need to get him out now." kodie quickly rises to her feet and lincoln put on the sweatshirt, putting the hood on his head so it covered him a bit. "we need some kind of plan so that they think he escaped." octavia states.

    "i got this." kodie nods quickly. "okay, since everyone's high someone came up and unlocked the hatch. lincoln punched me and got away." kodie eyes the two and then shakes her head. "oh yeah, lincoln, this is octavia. octavia, this is lincoln. octavia, i need you to punch me in the face."

    "what?" octavia asks with widened eyes.

    "just do it, okay? this plan has to look realistic. i need you to punch me and then get him out of here. lock the hatch when you're done." kodie orders.

    "kodie," octavia scoffs. "i'm not punching you in the face."

    "fine, lincoln, then you actually do it." kodie turns to lincoln. she takes a deep breath and readies herself as lincoln clenches his fist.

    "okay, okay!" octavia shakes her head. "fine! i'll do it!"

    "then do it already!" kodie groans. "we don't have much time, remember?"

    "it's okay." lincoln places a hand on octavia's shoulder. "just go for it. i'm sure you won't break anything. she'll be okay."

    octavia was beyond amazed at the sight of the grounder speaking to her and she nods quickly, "okay." she turns to kodie and takes a deep breath before quickly apologising and swinging her fist, colliding it with kodie's face. kodie fell to the ground and spit out some of the blood in her mouth before looking back at octavia, nodding her head. octavia punches her again and kodie goes unconscious when her head hit the floor. "oh my god, i can't believe i just did that."

    "she'll be okay." lincoln assures. "come on, i need to go."

    kodie woke to someone shaking her and as she slowly opened her eyes she met clarke's blue ones. she slowly sat up, resting against the wall behind her. a groan fell from her lips as she places a hand to her throbbing head.

    "what happened to you?" clarke asks handing the brunette a wet rag. "hold this to your nose, it's bleeding."

    kodie pressed the rag to her nose and watched as clarke moved down to check her ankle. her eyes wandered over to see a guilty looking octavia and bellamy, who simply stood with his arms crossed over his chest.

    "your ankle's a little swollen, but i don't think it's broken—possibly sprained though. i'll get some bandages to wrap it in and then just try to stay off it for at couple days." clarke orders and kodie simply nodded as she pulls the rag from her nose to look at the blood on it.

    "someone unlocked the hatch and he knocked me out before leaving." kodie said quietly as she wipes the dry blood from under her nose.

    "thought you were friends?" bellamy raises an eyebrow.

    kodie glares at him, "yeah well, people change."

    "we need to get you downstairs and into a tent." clarke says. "i'm sure you don't want to sit around all night in here." she turns to bellamy. "help her get out to someone who's willing to share their tent and then meet me in the communication tent." she gives him a small smile. "it's time."

    "communication tent?" kodie furrows her eyebrows.

    "raven got a connection to the ark." clarke smiles. "they're gonna start sending people down in two days."

    kodie couldn't help but frown. bellamy's theory about her getting locked up when the ark comes down could possibly happen and that was something she didn't want. it was something she feared.

    clarke made her way down the ladder after bandaging kodie's ankle and octavia followed, leaving the seventeen year old girl with bellamy. kodie rose to her feet and limped over to the ladder.

    "you're not supposed to be walking." bellamy states.

    "i'll stop walking once i reach the bottom of the ladder." she says before making her way down the ladder with bellamy right behind her.

    once she reaches the bottom she leans against the wall and winces from the pain in her ankle. bellamy wastes no time wrapping an arm around her waist and helps her out of the drop ship as she hops slowly on one foot. when they approach bellamy's tent kodie freezes.

    "do i seriously get the honour of sharing a tent with you?" kodie jokes.

    "only until your ankle is better." he mumbles as he helps her sit on the bed.

    kodie's blue eyes wander around the tent and her eyes widen at the sight of a gun. "where did you get a gun?"

    bellamy follows her gaze and licks his lips, "clarke and i found a bomb shelter that had a bunch of guns and bullets in it. we brought them back to use incase any grounders come back here."

    kodie bit the inside of her cheek, "oh."

    he clears his throat, "i have to go talk to jaha now."

    the brunette gives him a small smile, "good luck."
