Chapter 17: The Final Battle

Davina's Point of View

I ran like my life was at stake. Like an assassin was trying to murder me and I had no choice but to run away. My thoughts when I was running came to an abrupt stop when I knocked into someone. If it were a normal day then I would have cursed them to the oblivion. But in this particular moment, I had no time to lecture. I looked up to see my twin knocking into me. She was going the wrong way.

"Aurora! Where are you going?! Ya know what I don't time to yell at you. You are coming with me. I need your help" I said. Before she can even take in what I said, I grabbed her hand and then ran down the right direction. I then stopped and she crashed into my back. We were in front of the door that I was looking for. Luckily it was unlocked so we got in easily. In the room, it was dark as night. There were artifacts and empty cups and bottles near a chair. Then across from that chair was what looked like a dresser covered in drapes. I walked over there picking up my dress in the process so I don't  trip.  Aurora was right behind me. I walked up to the dresser and pulled down the drapes. It wasn't a dresser. It was a display case. And in that display case, there were wings and then I knew. Those wings belong to Maleficent. I heard the wings jiggle inside the case. And now I know what I have to do. I have to get the wings out of there. I tried to break it by banging ob the glass but it wouldn't break. I tried pulling on the door, but they  wouldn't budge.  Then I looked at Aurora and then back at the case. Then it hit me.

"Aurora! Help me get this case to break!' I yelled. She then picked up her dress and helped me topple it down. Once it broke then we watched the wings squirm and then fly out of the door. We then ran down the corridor to where the battle was. I see the wings fly to Maleficent and reattach themselves to his back. He then stood up, looking really hot in the process (even though it was really unnecessary. He and Stephan than fought like it was either life or death. Which technically it was. Then the fight was at its peak and both were flying outside the window.  Maleficent tried to get Stephan away from his wings and then he succeeded and Stephan fell to his death. The fight was over. Maleficent won! He won! The guards ran away and Aurora left to her lover, Prince Phillip. I stayed back to see Maleficent. When he flew to me, he looked like he went to hell and back. Literally. But I didn't care. He was here and safe. He stopped and looked at me. I ran to him and hugged him tight. He hugged me back the same way. I then looked up at him. He looked down at me. I grabbed his face and kissed him passionately. He was shocked at first but then melted into the kiss. What was like an eternity was actually a few minutes. He was the first to pull away.

" I love you, Davina" he breathed and that made me smile more than I usually did. The feeling was overwhelming. My heart skipped, my head was spinning, and I felt as if I was meant to be with him. It was pure bliss.

"And I love you, Maleficent" I whispered back and then from that then on, our love was forever in eternity.
