34. Braids

AGE 10

Guess what? I finally know how to braid hairs, yay! Well my friend and I watched a video on youtube about braiding hairs but we never actually tried it, so now I'm excited to go home so that I can try it to mom's or Gemma's hair, I know we never really did tried it but I have memorized the steps so that's not actually the problem.
When the final bell rang, I quickly gathered my things and ran straight towards the entrance where I saw my mom's car, I quickly said goodbye to my friends and went inside the car.

"Mom! Guess what I've learned today?" I asked mom as I buckled up

"I don't have a clue" mom said as she started to drive

"I already know how to braid hairs!" I exclaimed

"Really! That's great" she smiled at me

"But I haven't tried it yet so, can I try it in your hair, please?" I asked her

"Awe sweetie, I will love that but the thing is I have to run back to the office" she said making me a bit down

"It's okay mom, maybe next time. I'll just ask Gemma"

"Gemma's out with her friends Y/N" she said as we stopped in front of the house

"Oh, I'll just have to wait when you guys are not busy then" I said

"I'm so sorry Hun" she said kissing my cheek as I climbed out of the car and she drove away.

You know the feeling when you're so happy then just a single word turned your smile upside-down. Like when ya'll are going out then it started to rain, something like that. I barged inside the house threw my bag on the couch, then when I was about to head to my room, I heard some humming on the kitchen. So I went there and found my brother cooking something. I really didn't know that he'll be home this early.

"Harry!" I jumped on his back making him scream like a dying whale

"Y/N don't do that!" he said and I just laughed at him

"Sorry, why are you home early?" I asked him as I sat on the counter-top

"There's an emergency to someone at the studio and yeah. Why do you ask?" he said turning his back towards me

"Nothing. What are you cooking then?" I asked

"Spaghetti!" he exclaimed his back still facing me.

"Nice" I said. I didn't know why but my eyes found his man-bun and an idea popped into my head

"Harry, I thought you're going to have your haircut?" I asked

"No time" he simply said

"Which is perfect!" I exclaimed

"And why is that" he asked turning to face me

"Well you see..." I explained everything from the start of the day to when mom dropped me home

"What an interesting day" he said

"So please? Will you let me braid your hair?" I asked him using that puppy-dog eyes Liam taught me

"But, no don't use that" he said

"Pwease?" I asked him with my baby voice

"Fine" he gave in

"But after dinner" he said

"Yay! Love you Harry" I said, jumping off the counter and hugging him

"Yeah, yeah. Just change your clothes, you stink" he said

"Hey!" I said going to my room

"Come back after you finished getting dressed. Food will be served." He said as I hurriedly do what I have to do and head back to the kitchen to eat. After eating, he told me to wait on the lounge while he do the dishes, getting bored, I decided to watch a film while waiting for him. After thinking and thinking, I finally decided to watch Big Hero 6 so I planted my bum on the couch with my doughnut cushion/pillow on my lap and the hair bling's thingy on the center table. I started to watch the movie, then Harry went to sit next to me

"So, I thought I'm going to do your hair?" I asked him

"Give me a second, I'm just going to take a shower, is that okay?" he asked

"Yeah" with that he went to his room to do his business. As for me, I was silently watching the film, I'm so into the movie that I didn't heard Harry went down. It is the part where they were inside that thingy Mr. Krei had and they are going to rescue Callaghan's daughter, that sad part. (I cried at that part) well I was crying that time then I felt Harry rubbing my back, that's when I noticed him.

"I didn't know you were there" I told him my voice cracking a little

"Yeah, don't cry now okay?" he said as I nodded. I noticed that his hair is out of his man-bun and a bit wet, yeah he took a shower duh

"Harry, your hair is wet" I told him

"Yeah, just took a bath remember?" he said

"We need to dry it before I put it on braids" I told him as a matter of fact

"I don't want to use hairdryer Y/N" he said

"Air-dry?" I asked which he agreed. We decided to watch another movie while waiting for his hair to dry, but this time I let him choose a film. I thought he's going to choose a grown-ups movie but he chose The Good Dinosaur, which made me happy. So we watch.

A couple minutes later, his hair is already dry, I made him sit on the floor so that I can reach his head and started doing the steps I remember. A couple of fails later, I successfully finished putting his hair into two Dutch braids. I made him stand up then I asked him to face me. Adjusting a couple parts on his hair and now were done, if you're wondering how I reached his head well, I stood on the couch and I made him bend down a bit so that I can see his braids properly. I held out a mirror in front of him so that he can see what I did to his precious hair

"Wow" was all he said

"Harry you're so pretty" I told him as he sent me a glare

"Admit it, it looks good on you" I said

"Yeah it is" he said going beside me as he took his phone for a selfie and went straight to IG

Yep I know he didnt post selfies on his acc but yeah.
