Here, another chapter.

I hope you enjoy it.

~Ruvik~

"Seems like that's it..." Marcelo closed the van's door and looked at Ruvik. The silver eyed man was standing at the secret back door of the mansion with his arms crossed over his chest, he just stared at Marcelo for a while before saying anything.

"Yeah..." Ruvik said with a half smile. "It seems so."

"Well, I'll come at the end of the week for the next session. Make sure the girl will be ready, ok?" Marcelo was entering the van on the driver's side. "This time we'll record all of her brain activity during the connection, so I'll bring the equipment needed."

Ruvik came closer to the window right after Marcelo closed the door. The doctor was fastening his seatbelt when the young researcher grabbed him by the neck with one of his hands. His slender fingers had the perfect amount of force needed to cut air in Marcelo's throat.

"There's been something bothering me for a while now, that I wanted to get straight before we continue our project; my project." Ruvik said in a cold, low, threatening voice. "It's no secret for us that you're quite an incompetent researcher, Jimenez. But you're a smart man. I take it you wouldn't be so stupid as to betray me once more?"

Marcelo was trying to get Ruvik's hand away from him, but the lack of oxygen was making him feel lightheaded, and Ruvik was way too strong.

"I'll not give you another chance." Ruvik let go and smiled at him. "Don't think I've forgotten what you've done. I'll not be so understanding next time."

Marcelo stared at him in a mix of anger, shock and terror. And with that Ruvik knew right away that whatever Marcelo was doing behind his back this time, was nothing good.
He had to discover what was this 'MOBIOUS' thing [y/n] had heard in Marcelo thoughts before he proceeded with his research. He had to make sure STEM was still safe, and a secret.

He thought about his conversation with [y/n] before. He had just finished changing her bandages. It was strange touching a woman, he thought. Her skin was too soft, even though it was as cold as ice; but then again, maybe it was just his skin that was too hot - always. It felt good though. And Ruvik had managed to speak to her for longer than three minutes without having to strap her to a chair, sedate her or meet with her wicked side.

The only time he could remember talking to someone from other sex and feel as comfortable as he had felt with [y/n] had been with his sister, too long ago.

To think he ruined their conversation by simply mentioning Marcelo.

"...Marcelo will be coming here somewhere around next week, I hope you don't mind having him around."

She had been smiling at him weakly during their whole conversation, just playing with her own fingers as she looked him in the eyes. She didn't fear looking at him at all, and that was enough for Ruvik to at least sympathize with the girl. But as soon as he said Marcelo's name, her shyness and whatever else was that emanating from her body in waves ceased, and she looked away with and air of pure disgust.

"I don't trust him..." She said in a low voice before looking back at him seeming to be worried about something. "Do you know anything about something called MOBIOUS? He kept thinking about how you were not supposed to learn about his connection to it. I wonder if it's something bad..."
