~Freak~
Why are people the way they are?, she kept asking herself this same question over, and over during all those years, ever since she acknowledged the fact that she had a consciousness of her own; apart from [y/n]. She had even acquired a name for herself, because she wanted the line between what she had been and what she had become to be very bold and clear. What molds them?
She had let the darkness seep in too deep, and when she took notice of what was happening to her it was already too late. It had taken control and locked her deep down into her own mind. She blamed her weakness and all the loneliness she felt, even though her parents were still around. The thought of not being loved took her to strange places within her own mind, and suddenly she started hearing a faint voice in the back of her head, telling her to do things she knew were wrong.
And one day, when she couldn't control herself any longer, she ended up destroying everything. It was the same day when she got tricked by that voice and pushed to the depths of Limbo. Someone else took control. Someone who feigned innocence and weakness while chaos ran wild behind its eyes.
She was still summoned from time to time; to take control over her own body. But only when said chaos escaped from within her and she had to face the consequences of her other self's actions. She was only free to see the world when she was going to be punished; when she was going to feel lots of pain and despair.
But she enjoyed those moments just the same. She had acquired a strange passion to the way people's minds were shaped after the incident with her own. Those moments were the only ones where she could observe the people around her and actually interact with them, even if they always hurt her in some way.
The only thing in her mind at those moments was her desire to see all of their facades; to decode each and every one of their masks. Because that was what made them what they were, and she wanted to know what that meant. To be.
Anyway, all of that seemed distant right now. She didn't even recognize herself as master of her body anymore, that title had been passed on to the mind in control. The new [y/n].
How long had it been since being locked inside her own body? Six? Seven years? Yes, seven, for in a few days she was going to turn twenty. How much beauty had she seen so far? Not much. New [y/n] didn't appreciate the way humans functioned. Only Freak cared. Only her.
She believed that beauty wasn't in what your eyes saw; she tried to make [y/n] understand that, accept that. But the girl simply couldn't let go of her past. She couldn't let go of her rage. She kept trying to end her life, kept searching for ways of getting hurt only to prove that Freak was the one wrong, and that there was no beauty here at all. Living was a waste.
Their 'inner battle' got on a whole new level after the girl tried to kill herself so many times.
But somehow, after fighting her for years, Freak gave up as well. Marcelo had betrayed them, and she thought their last chance of being free was completely gone.
Freak was ready to finally put an end to their life; she thought she had had enough of [y/n]'s self-destructive bullshit and there was no more hope. At least that was what she thought at the time. But a new scenery was presented to them. Oh, and did that new landscape captivate her...
Ruvik.
Such beautiful flaws. It was unique indeed; that man, with his perfectly balanced shades of fear and hate with a little touch of loneliness. Beautiful.
