~Freak~

There she was, in her real form. After all those years without being able to see her like that she had almost forgotten how it looked like. They had almost the same face and body, but that side of her looked like something out of a horror tale.

"I see you came back home after all." Freak said with a lopsided smile. "I thought you said you were going to stay at the house...?"

"Here is more comfortable." She admitted. "I missed here. I have more power here."

"I know. That's why you shouldn't be here."

She laughed. Her hoarse voice made it hard for Freak to fake. She was half sacred, half worried about Ruvik. If that thing decided to play with them, Freak knew they would be in trouble. It had already been hours since they got into STEM. She knew because even though they were unconscious she had kept her attention in Ruvik's watch at the laboratory. The ticking sound was like an anchor to keep her from losing her mind.

Ruvik didn't seem to notice though, he wasn't even aware of the way all of that was affecting his body. She could tell he was hungry, and cold. His mind was connected to hers, she could feel his brain begging for water. They had to get out soon.

"Is that really [y/n]?" Ruvik asked in a low voice so only she could hear him. Forgetting that he was inside their mind, and whatever he did both of them would know.

"Oh, I'm [y/n] alright. But Freak is [y/n] too." She laughed again, and Ruvik flinched. If it was in surprise or fear, freak didn't care. The only thing she could think about was finding a way to get them out, to make that go back to the way it was.

"Why are you here?" Freak asked finally. "What do you intend to..."

"I'm going to do what you said." She looked at her. "Don't you remember what you said? Take away the human mind and you'll have true power. I want the true power. You're strong enough on your own. I took all the fear away from you, you only got to stay with the pain because I couldn't stand it. But I don't want to be the weak one anymore. I want to be strong so I can't get hurt anymore."

Freak didn't say anything. Ruvik also didn't.

"Are you afraid of me?" She asked looking at Ruvik. And suddenly she was right in front of him, looking at his eyes. She touched his face and he groaned in pain as he fell on his knees. "It's ok. I know what it feels like. I can help you get rid of your mind too if you also want to be stronger. We could be friends."

He only glared at her, as Freak watched.

"If you hurt him, he's never going to be friends with you." Freak stated trying to move towards them, but was thrown back when a bolt hit the ground right in front of her.

"You know, for my plan to work I'll have to get rid of you." She hummed still looking at Ruvik, who seemed in much more pain than before. "You're part of this mind that I'm trying to destroy. You're the one that feels what makes us scared, pain, betrayal and all of these bad things, Freak. I can't let you go." She made pause before letting go of Ruvik's face. He fell to the ground seeming unconscious. "You're going to disappear today, and I'm the one who will destroy you."

Freak looked at her for a moment while still trying to get up. She knew that the pain wasn't real, nor the wounds, it was all in their head. If she believed she was hurt than she wound feel hurt; if she believed she was dying then she would die. But still...she was tired.

She had been tired for a long time now, and that thing was presenting her a chance to let go and just cease existing. It was tantalizing.

"If that's what you want to do, then come..." Freak mumbled. "Come at me [y/n]. Let's get this over with."
