Another short chapter 'cause I'm in the mood.

~Reader~

You were sitting on the cold floor because that is where you belonged. At least that was what you thought.

You had gotten used to be treated like nothing, at some point you simply stopped caring, but to taste the feeling of no longer being alone, only to be thrown away like that... It hurt.

"Why are you so sad?" The girl was sitting right in front of you, looking directly into your eyes. "You knew this was going to happen. I warned you."

You didn't respond.

You felt dead inside. You felt worthless.

Your body wouldn't move, your mouth wouldn't open. A lump was forming in your throat, making it hard to breathe. But you didn't make any sound.

You just let the tears flow.

"Do you think...with time...we could be friends?" The girl was smiling at you, mockingly. "How naive can you be? No one ever cared about, why would he of all people? A stranger. And a monster too. Like us." She made a pause. "We are not meant to be happy, [y/n]."

"Maybe you're right."

"So...what will you do now?"

You shook your head.

"What he want me to." You sighed. "May we be one, Freak."

The girl smirked.

"And here I thought you didn't remember me." You reached a hand to touch her but she disappeared, leaving only a whisper behind. "May we be one, [y/n]."

What choice did you have?

Even though you had tried to avoid her with all your might, Freak never gave up on you. She had always been there. And even if you lied to yourself saying you hated her, she was a part of you. The part of you who kept you safe.

Whenever someone hurt you, she took control. Whenever you were in pain. Whenever you couldn't sleep because of the screams around you... Freak protected you. It was only fair you let her in.

So now you had a plan.

You got up and started searching around the room. After some minutes you found a small diary and an old pen. You took a blank page of the diary before throwing over your shoulder, not caring where it landed. Then you started.

~Juli Kidman~

People are insane. Juli was about to slap that woman across the face.

"But miss, I'm telling you he disappeared!" She kept ranting about her missing husband, when in fact he had died last year. She obviously had some kind of problem. "Can't you do anything?"

She had no time for that. It was past 10PM, she had to get home soon if she wanted to make preparations for the situation with Marcelo and his partner.

"Hey, Harrison, take care of this for me." She called out to one of the other cops. "This is Harrison, he'll help you. I need to go."

She left without even looking back, not caring if it had seemed rude of her to simply turn her back on the old woman.

Kidman took her cellphone out and called Marcelo. She had been thinking about a certain detail the whole day, but didn't have had the time to actually ask him.
