"No," Calum shouted at me. You could see he was frustrated. His hand wrapped around my wrist, "You can't go near her. Please." Something about his whole demure changed. Like a switch had been flicked. His eyes were scared and dark. He looked scared. So scared.

"Calum. She's my mom," I mumbled. I didn't think she would hurt me. After all, dreams were dreams. I kissed his cheek to reassure him. He let go of my wrist and nodded.

"I shouldn't let you do this," He replied. I pulled a small smile,"You have to, don't you?" I nodded. I walked forward my head heal high. The woman looked at me.

"Lucy," I smiled holding out my hand. The woman looked confused.

"I'm your mother," she shouted at me.

"No. No your not. I don't have a mother," I told her. My eyes set on hers.

"You brain washed her," she snapped turning to Ashton, "You brainwashed her with whatever you did to her,"

"He did nothing. It was you," I continued. Luke was watching me. His eyes I could see scanning my face. Full of concern. The woman slapped me hard around the face; I didn't care.

"I'm not a punch bag. I'm a person. I have feelings; emotions; people who care about me," I paused looking at the boys. My eyes lingering on Ashton,"I have a real family." She scowled.

"Just you wait," she snapped, glaring at us all. She stormed of. I was suddenly got hugged by Ashton.

"You stood up to her," his chin rested on my head perfectly. I felt at home in his arms. I quickly pulled away and looked to the floor. I couldn't do this to myself. Ashton looked hurt before he hid it behind a smile.

I walked away turning my back on the boys, my boys, and I walked. My head held high. I didn't turn back. I didn't walk back to my friends. I walked away. From everyone.

I walked home and dug out a book. I knew what it was vaguely, Luke has told me it was my song book.

I started scribbling down words. At first it was just rubbish. Dumb colours that didn't seem to fit in. Words that didn't make sense.

I wiped tears from the page. All the memories were there. I had remembered everything. I think the song made more sense to me because of what it was about. But maybe people would understand it two. They could make it mean different things to them. I carefully read it through. I paused. I slowly made my way to Luke's room with the book in my hand. I was looking for a guitar to give it more than just some lyrics. His old acoustic was here but it only had one string on it so I couldn't use it. I sat on his bed for a moment before leaving. I walked downstairs song book in hand, in hopes to find a guitar.
