"Remus Lupin. Didn't think the next time I'd see you would be back on this platform!" Her voice carried like a breeze to his ears, causing him to turn around with a start. The new Hogwarts professor was startled by the voice. The voice of the person he once called a best friend. The voice of the Cassadee Potter. James' twin. The fifth marauder.

It was almost like their first year at Hogwarts when they met for the very first time. It felt to Remus as though he knew the same about her character then as he does now. It had been years since he had last seen her, for years he had only heard about her in the daily prophet. Reading about all of her amazing adventures that he knew all of the marauders should have been on.

Not a day goes by that he doesn't miss things the way they used to be. Sirius being an arrogant but loveable troublemaker, James always teasing his sister but being the most protective brother he had ever met. Peter being the shy boy that followed all of them around like a lost child yet still blushing everytime anyone but them so much as looked at him. Cassadee was the most mysterious one yet also almost more outgoing than Sirius himself. He missed her melodic laugh and the smile that could melt even the coldest slytherin's heart.

Yet now when he looked at her he couldn't even see the child that he once met. He looked into her eyes and couldn't see the gleam of happiness that was always present there before. He missed his best friends and he could tell that she did to. She was not only part of the marauder family, she was the best friend of Lily Evans who also died on that fateful night with her brother. It was obvious that she couldn't forget that, not like he could expect her to, but it had changed her.

"Cassadee Potter. What in Merlin's name are you doing going back to Hogwarts?"

"Have you not heard?" She seemed genuinely surprised. "I thought that Dumbledore would have told you. I'm here to help you in your DADA classes." A smile broke out on her face when she said this as she was so excited to work with one of her friends again. Before she let him reply she jumped the last few metres between them and engulfed him in her arms. She had really missed the comfort that her best friends could give her. Being back in his arms made her feel more comfortable than she has been in years, ever since Voldemort had gotten to her brother.

"Cass don't take this the wrong way, I've really missed you, but why now? Why have you not contacted me before? I missed you. I needed you. Do you know how many...transitions I had to go through without knowing if there was anyone out there that still cared for me, how many times I woke up feeling completely alone? Why didn't you come back?" He wrapped his arms so tightly around her whilst saying this, trying to be strong but still a few stray tears escaped from his eyes, running over the scars on his face.

"Rem, I'm so sorry, I really wanted to be there but the ministry wouldn't let me out, everytime I tried to leave the job they threatened to throw me in azkaban for what I am, who I am. I knew it was absurd and so did they, but when the ministry want someone out they find a way to keep them out. It wasn't till I contacted Dumbledore about this position that I was able to get out. They couldn't stop me anymore. I was always there with you though. No matter what you thought. Me, James, Lily, Sirius and Peter we were always there watching over you and protecting you. No matter where we are Remus, we will always care for you, always there helping you through every 'transition' just like we did at school. You think I wanted to miss them, that every full moon I didn't look up from the cell they put me in on those nights and cry knowing that you were out there suffering and I could have been there to help. You think I" Cassadee was cut off by the train whistle.

"Lets get on the train and talk more about it then." Remus said, always being the voice of reason. They both got on and went in search of an empty carriage where they could talk.
