*december 22*
"Ainslee! Ainslee! Ainslee!" is the first thing I hear when I wake up. Or should I say when I am woken up. Calum started jumping up and down on my mattress on the floor, screaming my name at the top of his lungs.
"You're awake!" He yells, pulling me up with him.
"Calum, it is way to early for this." I groan. Calum pulls me into a hug and rests his chin on the top of my head.
"No, it's not because we have to have a fun day. And I will make it my mission to make you have the best pre-birthday day." Calum announces. "First we're going to go to the zoo!"
"Calum, we seri-" Before I can finish, Calum cuts me off.
"No. You deserve this. Now go get ready so we can leave soon. It's already 12:40, daylight is running out." He tells me, putting a random outfit in my hands and pushing me into my bathroom.
I come out of my bathroom about 30 minutes later with my makeup done, hair and teeth brushed, and my clothes on. Calum is a pretty good outift picker. He picked out my white with blue stripes shirt and my black shorts, with a camo green jacket over it.
When I come out of the bathroom, Calum is already done getting ready. He is wearing a black tank top that says, "Anxiety" and black jeans, with a black leather jacket over it. I walk over to him and immediately take in his fresh vanilla and cologne scent. His smell has become my favorite scent.
"Are you ready?" I ask him.
"Only if you are." Calum retorts back.
"Let's go then!" I say with a smile, grabbing my phone and shoving it in my back pocket.
We walk out to my car. Before I can even reach the handle of the door, Calum quickly runs over to my side and stand right in front of me. He turns around and opens the door for me, waiting for me to get in the car. "Thank you kind sir." I say, laughing at Calum.
"You're welcome Madam." He says before returning to his side.
We drive out my driveway, starting our day.

We get to the zoo and I feel my brain filling up with old memories of my brother. When we would come here when we were little, we loved the penguins. The penguins were always our favorite. We loved the way they swam and how they waddled. It was something that never failed to make me happy. I cant even look at a penguin now without thinking of him.
"Can we see the llamas first?" I ask him, snapping out of my sad thoughts of my brother.
"I wanna see the aquarium first." He says with a frown.
"Calum, who's birthday is it tomorrow?" I ask him, as we walk into the gates of the zoo. It's free today since it's saturday.
"I know but I just really love fish?" He stated as if he was asking a question.
"What I'm getting from this is that you are scared of llamas." I tell him, with a satisfied smirk on my face.
"What? Psh - no! What kind of crazy statement is that?" He says, obviously lying through his teeth.
"Calum, you're scared of llamas arent you?" I ask him one more time.
"Yeah, when I was little I went on a llama ride and that llama didnt eat anything that day so it got hangry and bucked me off. I broke my wrist because of that llama. And one time a llama spat on me because apparently I "rubbed him in the wrong area". Whatever that means." Calum rants on.
"Well, then lets go help you get over your fear of llamas." I say, pulling him to the llamas.
"No, no, no. Ainslee please." He whines, as I pull him towards the llamas. The llamas arent that far from the entrance.
