Who would have known someone who could so easily fit in with the Socs would be best friends with greasers?

And not just any greasers, the Curtis gang.

(Y/N) was emotionless. Just like Socs.

At least, on the outside.

On the inside, she felt more than all the greasers combined. She felt only pain, though. Because nothing good came of her life.

Abuse was a constant in her life. Worse than what Johnny has said about his home life. See, Johnny was only hit and whipped. (Y/N) was sexually abused by her father, too.

Johnny and (Y/N) had another difference. Johnny was vocal about his home life, (Y/N) was not. She didn't want anyone to pity her, or look down on her for all the shameful things her father had done to her. All the times she would cry herself to sleep at night so she would be strong in the morning. All the sleepless nights because of the nightmares that eventually turned into insomnia. All the times she would do anything to take away the pain.

Even if that meant adding a different kind to the mix.

Self-harm is never a good idea. (Y/N) thought the same. She never wanted to start the addiction, but she needed an escape. She needed to remind herself that this was real, that this hellhole was her life.

The negative thoughts turned into heavy depression.

Depression was something (Y/N) could hide with emotionlessness. She would distance herself, never let anyone get close.

And, as damn cliche as it sounds, someone broke her will.

Because maybe, she just wanted real love this whole time.

It starts with Johnny Cade, his family be damned for hurting a sweet and innocent soul like his. He decided he wanted to know what happened to make (Y/N) so emotionless. Was she jumped? Was she like him?

Johnny couldn't imagine someone like her going through what he does.

He decided to help, whether she wanted help or not.

She obviously didn't, and as he said, he didn't let that stop him.

One day, he got too close for comfort.

"Damnit, (Y/N), why are you like this?!" He shouted one day in the lot, which was currently empty.

"Why should you care? I'm completely fine, Johnny Cade," was the response he got.

"You're not, (Y/N). I'm not as stupid as you think."

"Back to my first question, why should you care?" (Y/N) hissed out.

"Because you're part of the gang, and we're all worried about you. You can't shut us out of your life. What even happens? Is your home life like mine? Is it worse? Oh god, is that what it is?" Johnny whispered.

(Y/N)'s defences were slipping. So she said, "Stay out of it," and walked back home, probably to another torture session.

She was right. She walked right back into the house, right into her father. He grabbed her and yelled at her, and did things so vile they can't be typed. He told her the same thing he told her every time. "You're worthless, no one would want you." "You're just a dirty slut now, huh?"
And, "No one can touch you but me, understand?" All you could do was sit there emotionlessly, nod, and wait for it to be over. There never was an escape.

Nobody ever came to rescue you like in the movies. You were all alone. At least, in your mind you were.

As the days went on, Johnny continued being persistent and wanted answers. Surely you could tell him about the abuse, but leave out the cutting, depression, and rape part. Right? That won't hurt, you thought.

Johnny had never been more devastated when he heard about it.

"No, no! He can't hurt you! Th-that's not right. Why do you keep going back?!" He yelled.

"Same reason you do, Johnny. Same reason you do."

After that, you left. You didn't want to see that look on his face anymore.

Lets definitely leave out those details.

After a while, everything got more difficult to hide. The cuts were becoming deeper, and would reopen easily. This cause you to be super careful with your hips and thighs (you weren't dumb enough to cut on your wrist in case someone saw). The days felt longer with your constant paranoia of you getting caught. You didn't want to hurt anyone. You knew they cared, and didn't want them to get hurt because they cared about the wrong person.

Johnny wasn't the same after that. He started becoming clingier to you, wanting you to stay away from your house, never wanting you to leave his sight. He loved you, and you loved him. He asked you out, you said yes.

Things were getting better.

Your dad found out though. He wasn't happy.

You got the worst beating you've ever had. And he tried new thing with you that night.

You broke one of his rules, you deserved to be punished.

Johnny saw some of the cuts and bruises the next day and nearly had a panic attack.

He was not okay with this.

The worst part was the complete loss of life in your eyes. He hated how that last little spark was gone.

That day was the first day you cried in front of Johnny. You cried, and broke down. You told him what he did. You told him what you did to yourself.

You reached your breaking point.

Johnny wanted to leave and beat the shit out of your dad, but you wouldn't let him. He instead decided to hold you. He told you that what your dad did didn't make you any worse. That he still loved you for you. That you were still amazing in his eyes.

Those were the only thing needed to make you finally feel loved.

You've reached the end of published parts.
