The gift and its price

I was a little surprised I asked "What is it, this gift?" Kiro looked un-easy and said "We call it project fury." "Why was is called that" I asked Kiro said "After a lost civilization called the furyites, they possessed powers that would make all of the five species pail by comparison." I was amazed, so much that I asked an extremely stupid question "Were they even more powerful then the nightrunners." I looked over to Ambassador Shan she had short cropped brown hair with hazel eyes, she wore a black suit with a white tie, she absolutely commanded respect. She was sitting in her leather covered chair when she said "Yes they were stronger then us."  again I said another stupid comment "Sounds like me" I joked Shan instantly looked serious and said "Your humor isn't required, only your answer." I asked "May I have one day to decide?" they all muttered and whispered when Kiro said "Sit everyone, sit." everyone sat in respect to the lycan alpha he said "You will have one day to decide use it wisely." I replied "Thank you, all of you." I bowed on one knee then turned around, put my hat on and walked toward the exit to the surface, to my land, my ranch. I took the elevator and as soon as I could I called Kate, I told her I'd pick her up at her place. I looked for my Dodge Ram 3500 diesel, I'd hidden it in the brush so poachers couldn't find it. I drove to a place in South Texas called Mcallen its a city near the border of the U.S. and Mexico. I'd driven to her house it was a beautiful quiet place almost as beautiful as her she came running out of her house with her brown hair,soft features and kind heart she was wearing blue jeans,converse, a purple top, and a cowboy hat. When she got into my truck she asked "So is your job done?" I  replied "Yup all I need is time with you." We drove back to my ranch, it was at its peak I'd never seen it so green. We sat down on a table at an old rancher's outpost where it was peaceful and quiet. I finally broke the silence when I said "The council has asked me to take something they call project fury." Kate looked worried and asked"What will happen." I looked at her and said "I don't know what'll happen."
