The Last Straw

As Kate and I faced the doors of death we looked at the council guards, I looked at the guards, the guards I fought with, killed with, survived with, and thought (If I'm to die let me die with Kate) most of the guards took aim at us in the auto center as Shan said "Execute them!!!" some of the guards turned their heads toward her and asked "Ma'am?" Shan turned toward that guard and said "Shoot now!!!!!" I knew we were gonna die but right as Kate and I were to meet our end Kiro said "Now!!!!" all of a sudden the guards were shooting at each other half were hiding behind cars, the other half were yelling "Go!!!!!! Run!!!!" Kiro   was throwing the guards every where  I put Kate in a SUV that I'd ripped the door out of, and ran to help Kiro when I saw Shan behind him with a Desert Eagle, I yelled "No!!!!!!! Kiro!!!!!!!!!!" boom I heard the gun shot and everything slowed down as Kiro fell to the ground. Shan slowed down as I ran to her then she sped up and slammed my face with her forearm I layed on the ground in pain with tears for my fallen friends the guards, and Kiro the Alpha of the werewolves. Shan walked over to me and said "What a shame doing all this, throwing all of this away for her, what a waste." she said in disgust she raised her hand still holding the gun that killed Kiro and pointed it at me. Again everything slowed down I immediately ran up and grabbed the under side of the muzzle and brought it up to her stomach, grabbed her hand and squeezed the trigger. BOOM BOOM BOOM I heard the gun go off and saw Shan smile as she said "Do you really think this is any obstacle to me?" she side stepped me, put my arm behind my back and forced me down on one knee. I turned my head to see the bullet wounds on her and thought (She just doesn't die) I heard a pop pop pop pop and saw Shan stumble down to one knee, it was Kate!!!!! she was smiling, and said "We gotta go!!!" she held me on her shoulder and helped me to the SUV and said "We've got alot ta talk about." she took the keys from the dash board and drove through the auto center into the exit to my ranch. I thought (At last we were free but at a terrible price)
