Time To Bury Kate

Nick's POV

I had no clue what I was thinking at the time, all I know is that I was literally running on adrenaline my body was exhausted, I was exhausted. I had absolutly no clue what I was gonna do, all I knew was I had to get Kate a proper burial. I held her body in my arms her still war but lifeless body, she'd died right in front of me, and I couldn't prevent it. I can't describe how that felt, along with the feeling of utter helplessness, I felt like a kid who'd lost everything, I had lost everything. I lifted her body and said "Kiro!!!!!! Selea!!!!!! head back to the prison I've got a grave to dig." Kiro had large slash marks all over his body, from fighting Damien, Selea also had injuries slash marks from her knife fight with Shan. Kiro joked "I'll follow just give me a few hours to bleed." then his face hardened as he saw Kate in my arms, Selea said "We'll follow, do what you must." I ran as fast as I could deep into my ranch, I saw all the memories that we'd shared flash right in front of me, all the good times we'd had..........All the time I'd enjoyed with her..........My life had been hell before her.......now I had to bury her.....I thought (please......please let her be at peace here.) I saw my father in front of me and stopped running he said "Don't worry El Cibolo will take care of her." I cried and said "Daddy I wish you were here.......I wish you could've known Kate more ........I miss you both so much!!!!!! Why !?!?!? Why did you too have to leave?!?!?" I saw Kate appear next to my dad and fell to my knees still holding her body and put my head down crying then I heard Kate's voice......that sweet voice say "I'll always love you.....We're both watching you......Even your little brother is watching you." she smiled then looked to my side, I looked and cried even more. I saw my little brother Noah, the brother that I never knew he had brown wavy hair and looked like me. He smiled then said "Don't worry El Cibolo will take care of her, I wish I could've known you then daddy came to see me." he smiled and continued "he's been watching you too......and now the pretty girl is watching you too." I chuckled at the brother I'd wished so much that I'd known, he'd died at birth. I looked at my father and heard him say "I'm so proud of you....and the man you've become." I looked at Kate, smiled and said "You'll be happy here." and dug the grave under the watchful eyes of my family and vowed to never let this happen ever again.
