HEATH’S P.O.V

I pulled Lexie behind me and held her hands behind my back. She began to quiver and bury her head into my neck as Anton stepped closer out of the woods. “Get away.” I hissed, pulling Lexie closer. “Very romantic,” He says looking around and ignoring my warning.

“I wonder how I’m going to kill her- I mean there are so many ways I can kill a mortal, unlike her werewolf boyfriend.”

I growl, if he touched her I would take his off head before he knew it.

“Maybe I could put a small blade through her and watch her slowly bleed out and cry until her last struggling breath erupts from her mouth along with blood dripping out form her nostrils and ears. Ooh, that would be precious.”

If he put a knife through her body, I would surely die inside. There would be a raging fire eating away at its surrenders. Begging to get out and burn something else.

“Or maybe a bullet. I could put a bullet through her heart. Human hearts are very weak but really hey can hold out for a while. I have never actually had the pleasure of watching a human die slowly as surprising as it is. All the kills have been very fast and merciful.” Anton smiled wickedly and put his hands in his pockets.

‘Guys Anton’s here! Come quick you know where I am!’ I shout through my mind and hugging Lexie closer.

‘What’s he saying?’ Zane shouts through my head.

“Are you guys coming Otherwise it doesn’t matter what’s coming out of his mouth!’ I think angrily.

‘Is he threatening Olivia’s life?’ Zane pushed on.

If that’s the only way he’ll come.

“Anton weren’t you after Olivia, not Lexie?”I say through my teeth. Anton’s head jerked up. “Olivia,” he said softly like he was trying the word out and swirling it around his mouth like expensive wine.  “Yes, I would still like her, but I have to wait just a bit longer unfortunately if I could I would take her now. You see we don’t want to have her so long just so you don’t have enough time to take her back.” Anton smiled cruelly

‘Yes, he’s threatening her.’ I say sternly to Zane on the other end.

“We’re bringing her with.” I heard Zane say heavily.

“No, what are you thinking!” I shout to him.

‘He wants her now if he could, he wouldn’t exactly want to but he would take any opportunity!’ I shout as Anton stared at me intently.

‘Then he’s sure going to be in for a hell of a surprise and learn he can’t have her.’ Zane says heavily like he was running through the woods, also with voices behind him.

‘Yo, man I see you. Lexie is all over you dog!’ Bolton jokes.

‘Hey Heath keeps Lexie safe. If she gets hurt I will be the first to kick your ass.’ I hear Olivia threaten.

I hold Lexie’s hand tighter and see a pair of glowing yellow eyes in the woods followed by two other sets.. “I see you guys, just come out.” I look at Anton. And say out loud. “He already knows your here.”

Slowly the wolfs walked out of the woods there footsteps not even making a sound. “Zane, nice to see you again. How’s the fiancé or I should say wife. Oh wait…she’s dead.” Anton says as the corners of his mouth twitched up in satisfaction. Zane growled.

“Bolton, good to see you too of course.” Anton says nodding to Bolton who sat on his hunches read to pounce. Olivia slowly walked out of the woods holding her head high and looking scarier than usual.
