"Greed makes assassins of all men." - Councilor Ezra Ex of the Loreseeker's Guild
As he asked who the person was, Blue realized he was lying in a simple woolen cot. No mesh woven vibromatic pulsers, no temperature scanners to adjust for maximum comfort, but cobbled together with wood and a stretch of fabric attached to both ends.
It was the best sleep of his life.
In it he had felt happiness and warmth, a glowing cradle of light gently drawing him forward and through some unknown threshold into a world of untold calmness. The warm light had grown slowly over his eyes until he was fully concious.
"I am Xerath...and I brought you here." he told Blue evenly, Blue's eyes showing the dark warning of suspicion in them, his brows furrowed into deep bunches, his long black and blue hair flowing loose around the feather pillow he lay upon.
He was suspicious, but in the wooden hut, he saw Nami standing in the corner, arms crossed tight over his chest, his face breaking out into a broad smile that showed his slightly sharper and pointier than most humanoid teeth.
"I couldnt believe it until I saw it, man, your head just bladesawed off in a second, just a stump spouting blood."
"So that's what happened.."Blue murmured, rubbing at his neck even though a scar was not present. "I saw arc hot light, darkness, then Shampoo helped me out."
"You mean that weird fat woman with the pink beehive hair? The Facescaper?"
"Yep, She's a lot better than you think."
Nami walked over to the cot and placed his hand on Blue's shoulder, "I believe it."
And Xerath said in a rustle of robes, his slitted reptilian eyes focusing on the two, "I'll fill you in, Loremaster; I am Xerath and you are on Krist.
