"The spectrum monitor is accurate to less than half a nanometer." - Automatic Surgery Protocol Manual
Blood sprayed from Blue's lips and he was blown back by the impact, hitting the carpeted floor and skidding soundly across it. There was the sound of a satisfying thump, but it did not come from him.
Councilor bast had been stroked by the laz sword, his left arm lying on the floor, spurting crystalline fluid that was quickly containing itself through the active use of nanomachines.
"Replacable, easily." said the deeper than baritone of Bast as he came at Blue again, without one arm, his weapon exploded, and both him and the Loremaster bleeding heaily and freely.
Opening his hands wide, he dropped the laz sword to his side on the floor, deactiving its on switch before he let it go, just the handle hitting the ground. And Blue leaned to the side, as though he knew Tylux was going to take another shot, this one missing entirely, and splintering the plints and carvings upon the wall.
"How...?" Bast began, but Blue was upon him in a heartbeat.
Quick as a lion, Blue's fists and legs moved, beating dents into the larger man, hopping around in a mad flurry, his legs up over his head as he cartwheeled over, even though slamming into Bast's head.
The man groped and reached for Blue, but his dance was just out of the fat and quick man's reach, and the most he ever managed to grasp was a scrap of cloth which was just as quickly gone from his grasp like wisps of wind.
His stump stung, but there was no more blood, the vessels had closed themselves, but Blue was a blur, to even his augmented senses.
I am movement, though Blue, I am the lightning, the quick strike of power and the flow through thereof, flashed through his thoughts, almost unheeded as he circled the man, throwing kicks, punches, elbows, knee, and even headbutts, always one step ahead.
A few moments later Bast dropped dead to the ground, his skullcase crushed and vital organs ruptured due to a dizzying blur of strikes, far too much for even one of his size.
And Tylux stood up and took dead aim at Blue's Back.
